Is marcus vick the newantwaan randle el? I think some of u need to give marcus vick a chance. the future is foward not backwards. he can help us with trick plays because nick saban did a lot of those.Marcus Vick is a phenomenon just give him a chance he has a lot of talent he can help his team.

Randle El threw 4 passes in the last 2 years, about the same as Marty Booker Id say

Everyone thinks they run all these trick plays just because of the superbowl

Randle El is a FAR over rated WR, He is a good return man and a good #3 but he isnt an amazing player

I agree with you. If Vick is going to be on the team come opening day I would prefer he be far and away better than Randel-El. However, IMO for now Vick is going to be a STer.

this question again dosent anyone read the prior 100 threads about this same topic? who knows we only know he was a qb in college and that we have no inside on what he is like a wideout. so lets wait a while atleast to make comparisons to randel el. lets bring it up after he makes so grabs in preseason than we can argue this.

This is what CC said about him.
So what's the word on the Marcus Vick/receiver experiment? ''He's looked raw because he hasn't played that position [much],'' Chris Chambers conceded. ''But he can be that versatile player we can use maybe in the next few years.'' (Whether he makes the roster, though, is still very much in question.)

Translation..He is a project.

I don't see why Vick cant be better than "L" eventualy. Vick has better mesurables, the only thing holding him back is maturity. On the plus side the Steelers dropped a second round pick on L and Vick cost us nothing.

He's a major project player with huge potential. I don't see him making this year's roster unless he really makes huge strides in preseason. I see him as a practice squad player this year.

SO MUCH HYPE over nothing.

Of all the things to be excited about on this team Vick continues to dominate the board.

He'll be lucky to make the roster and is more likely to be put on practice squad which means he won't do anything for this team.

Phenonmenon....... yeah, clearly a phenomenon. :shakeno:

yea I wouldn't get to excited, I mean he has potential, but I doubt he will ever be a phenom in this league. If he becomes as good as Randel El, I think we should all jump around for joy, because he was a guy that cost us nothing, not even a seventh rounder. But to call him a phenom is ridiculous, especially since he didn't get drafted and we were the only team that gave him a shot at a UDFA free agent contract . . . doesn't that worry you a little bit . . . a definite hit on the phenom scale if u ask me. Hey I'm rooting for the kid, but my expectations are not high, but best believe I am wanting him to succeed, especially since he plays for us.

You are somewhat right about him, and somewhat clueless. Yes, as a WR he has average hands and route runnings skills. But as far as an athlete, there's isn't a lot of people who are better. IMO there hasn't been anyone better at making "the first defender miss" since Barry Sanders. If you use his talents right, he can be an amazing player. Randle El was statiscally one of the greatest QBs in college football not because of his arm, which is below average, but because he was "an amazing player".
