I thought saban said vick will be returning some kicks and seeing some playing time since wes was a little hurt.Now i see that he will not play what going on in saban head lately why keep putting wes through more pain ???
 
It was precaution in case Welker's injury didn't heal enough but apparently it has so vick is inactive today.

I know thats why i asked last i heard welker was bruised up from what i heard in saban last meeting.why not throw vick in there and rest welker some. :shakeno:

There is no rush to put Vick in. As long as Welker is making plays, keep him in there. He is the best offensive player on this team. He has been doing a good job at returns for the most part. Vick...don't rush it.
Vick is the 3rd quarterback today.

There are many on here that thought he was going to be a fixture of our gameplan today.

There were many more who thought he would make the team ahead of Welker. More humorous but true.

Not sure who thinks that but the guy has speed and would be a good back up in returning kicks .

NOt only play, but have a big impact. Look at all the threads about how much of an impact Vick was going to have. Returning kicks and punts, lining up a WR and mabe even lining up under center for a trick play or 2 or throwing a pass on a reverse. There are some pretty big man-crushes on a guy that wasn't drafted by 32 teams, was signed as a free agent, was released and again, not signed by 31 teams, put on the practice squad where he can be clamied by any of the other 31 teams and just now made the active roster. He has been exposed to EVERY other NFL team many times and NO ONE except us is interested. As many have said, if his name wasn't Vick, he just be another athletic WR trying to make it in the NFL.
 
I'm not tracking a whole 'bunch' o- folks that even remotely thought VICK would make the team over WELKER ... maybe RUSSELL or GIBSON !

VICK gets on the field when he PROVES he can contribute at a higher level than the folks currently there [or injury] .... I'll bet SABAN WANTS VICK to contribute on special teams for many reasons ... but he WON'T start him unless he can perform AT LEAST as well as WELKER as a KR ...
 
nah i am pretty sure the reason we signed marcus vick of the practrice squad was just a precaution as wes missed some practice during the week and on the chance that he couldnt play we brought up vick for insurance
