I know he didn't have great stats, but how did he look at wide reciever? I have a dream........he will be the next Steve Smith. :D

hmm...didnt do anything really great yet.

He was running around out there like Hagan was.

I actually was more impressed with Hagan personally.

Vick will hopefully get more playing time. But with Gibson and Russell comming on strong he's got to make the most of his opportunities or else it'll be too late.

I thought Vick & Hagan both rounded out their routes better than any of the other receivers (I was at the game, and I paid specific attention to the receivers, offensively). Unfortunately, Vick didn't get many until Brock Berlin was in at QB, and Berlin is as clueless as they come. Hagan was open along the sidelines quite a few times, and we witnessed a terrible throw by Harrington on one, and miscommunication on the other.

Vick had a quiet night, but look for him to step it up in the next week....I know for sure Saban will have Vick make the team this year...

The guy people should be talking about is Fred Gibson. This guy has talent and it seems like he is gonna be a practice squad guy for '06. I always loved his attitude at uga and i think he could help this team, but there is only 1 problem...this team has tons of talent at the wr spot.

Welker started at WR (Booker was out) and played well into the 2nd Q, but never got open.

Vick for the opportunities he got looked good

One thing that made me pretty happy tonight, was seeing that we used four different guys to return kicks and all of them did pretty freaking well. I don't think we will be holding the collective DolphinFan breath on all kick off returns this year. I know Wes has brought a little zazz to the return game the last couple years. Wes has done well for us considering the absence of a return threat for the past 20 or so years until he arrived. This year however, I think he will be the number 2 or 3 guy as KR on the depth chart. Vick is shifty and has great speed, Aromashodu (sp?) had a return of 30 yards to end the game. I see great things in our future.:o

I wasn't at the game but I can tell you Welker was open on at least 2 occasions documented by game coverage.
One was a poorly thrown ball by Harrington where even the announcers stated he was open.

The "but never got open" statement is quite puzzling. How does one come to make such a blanket statement?

Vick had a nice catch and pass interference call on the jags..he also blocked very good on running plays..any ball that was thrown to him, he tried to catch it..great to see Vick playing hard

I may of missed or forgot a few plays as anyone would watching a preseason game, but I remember him getting jammed pretty well by Jacksonville's first team defense. However, I hope you're not referring to the terribly thrown ball that almost bounced into Hagan's hands? Welker had a defender breathing down his neck - that ball actually should've been thrown to Hagan. Most of the time Welker was in at WR, I didn't even notice him. He had a nice kickoff return though.

He is versitile that s for sure, i would have liked to see him play QB, well maybe he will in the next Preseason game.
