Davis is still listed on the Dolphins Official Roster and there was never any word of him being cut

He was assigned to the Frankfurt team but then waived prior to the season starting. Haven't seen a word printed about him since.

Do the Dolphins still get the roster exemption for him even though he didn't make the team?

he was wearing #3 at rookie mini camp but that was rookie mini camp. he was not a dolphin at rookie mini camp. if he is #16 i think he will get another # change after he finds what position he will mostly be lining up at.

I looked today.......there were only 10 available numbers going by the official site's roster: 9, 12, 13, 30, 39, 45, 46, 49, 55, 89.

12, 13 and 39 are retired.

So there are/were only 7 available numbers, and 4 new players.

Heinrich wore 49 in Cleveland, so that would make sense for him.

Keith Newman will likely take 55 as it is the only available LB number.

That left 9, 30, 45, 46 and 89 for Lehan and Vick.

Lehan wore 39 in college and pros........can't have that here, so maybe he'd take 30.

Now, Vick sees the only QB number here is 9.........not a popular number in Dolphin land.....so I could see why he would want a number in the teens, which is valid for a WR or QB....and get another player to take 89, a true WR's number. So my guess is that Vick will be #16 and Davis #89.

If my assumptions are correct, 45, 46 and 9 are the only numbers left. Kind of funny how no one will take #9 since Fiedler.

I heard it was gonna be number 93. He is gonna play DT. He may have trouble getting by the guard, but when he does he will get back to the QB faster than lighting.
