For the love of god, please tell me we aren't seriously considering getting rid of Olindo Mare for Mike Vanderjagt?

I just don't understand why we should mess with the special teams. Olindo Mare is one of the elite kickoff PK's in the league. He averages a great deal of touchbacks. Mike doesn't even do kickoffs, is Donnie Jones going to do kickoffs for us? Or maybe Wes Welker? -_-..

Does anyone here really think that getting rid of Olindo Mare for Mike Vanderjagt would be a great move?

Mike vanderjagt is an arrogant prick..... critizized his QB when he is going to go down as one of the best of all time...

I hate the guy, and would rather have any player in the league than him...

Signing a less expensive younger kicker, would have alot more upside to our team....... Mare is a class and team guy.. it would be a shame if we get rid of him
 
Like I said before, if a guy can't git a 40 yarder with 21 seconds in a huge situation such as the playoffs, then I don't think he's worth 10 dollars, he didn't just miss it, it was wide by atleast 20 feet, I have no problem with Mare, I think he is a great kicker.
 
i really like Mare, hell i have his jersey.....but he is costing us too much for a KICKER. i dont care if he kicks touchbacks and field goals, he misses too many crucial kicks. I mean hell, i could go out on the field and kick field goals and touchbacks......and get paid 2 million to make a few kicks every game??? wow....

if Mare was a team guy, he would take a paycut to save money for his team. Instead he asked to be released to see if he can make equal or less money

20 feet? You're being kind! When the ball left his foot I knew it was no good. That kick wouldn't have been good as a extra point.
 
look mare was asked to take a pay cut he said no well good bye it was great i loved his time here but everyone knows vanderjagt is more clutch than mare ever was 2 mil a year for mare who does miss alot of crucial kicks and is not worth it we need the extra money to help the rest of the team he should understand that obviously not though
 
I'll take Mare thank you very much. Vanderjagt is going to want as much or more then Mare and i think Mare is way better. Having good special teams is a part of the game and if it takes 2 million dollars then so be it. He's great on kickoffs and is a good all around kicker.

if it aint broke then dont fix it, IMO there is no one better then Mare, what a KICK in the you know what for Mare, after all he has done for us.:fire:
 
id love for vanderjagt to become a fin but thats just because of the whole canadian thing
