I had to start this thread as an apology to Olindo. I have to admit I was down on him last year and going into this year. But he has really come through for us this season. Those were some great kicks yesterday and I can finally say that Im pretty confident when he comes out onto the field now. Last yeaar I would cringe when we had to go for a field goal, but I guess he really was bothered by injuries because he looks like a top kicker once again.

a second apology goes to reggie howard who also held his own this week. Reggie will be on my good side for one week at least. If he can play well again next week Ill get off his back for a while.

I called him out when he was playing like crap too. Now he looks more confident and I must give kudos where due. At one point, I wanted him cut.
Now, not so much! :)

Howard had that one nice play in the endzone, the INT was such a "catch this small pass directly in your numbers or you're fired" type of INT. He better step it up in the coming weeks.

I havent seen the missed FG (36 yarders) vs. Saints. What exactly happened on this miss? Pulled it left I understand?

He killed it, just pulled it left from the get-go. I am still amazed at his FG the other day from 53 yards which would have been good from about 70. His touchbacks are also extremely helpful to the defense, and to the battle for field position, which is something we'll live and die by until we have a good QB.

On the topic of Reggie Howard, thank your lucky stars that Aaron Brooks was too stupid to realize that all he had to do was throw to his side on every snap. They did it on 3 of the first 4 plays of the game, successfully. I have no idea why they went away from that. Bad coaching and bad decision making on Brooks' part most likely.

Unreal! Now, I think Reggie Howard is truly awful, but I'll tell everyone this, you don't hold a team to 6 points, unless every phase is on, in this case so was our DBs and Reggie deserves some credit. He played better than he has all year long, possibly best game as a Dolphin.

Lots of love to Mare. He is the unsung hero of this past game. Miami's offense only got in the endzone once. His kicking provided most of the points. Nice job Mare!!

Mare has always been an above average kicker. Last year, like everyone, was a down year for him, most of it was psychological probably. Hopefully this winning mentality will carry over and he'll have another great year, like he has in the past.
