Did u guys notice somethin from the colds pats game? How key the kickoff was in that game? Veintari is clutch but his legs for kick offs was horrible n in return the pats always got a 40 yard run or so that set up TDs n fgs. Now when mare kicks it for a TB it prevents that but the problem is that he misses his fg. I guess perfection doesn't exist much.

Well it didnt help Adam when his kick coverage couldnt tackle any one but Mare has benn able to make FGs in the past, hes goin through a bad streak

yeah but i see your point he is good at kickoffs and good at onside kicks and i think he will be getting back to making fieldgoals after a bad year last year. Hes too good to give up on because of one year because next year it could come back to haunt us.

Being one of the highest payed kickers in the league, i could care less how good his kickoffs are...we can find a kickoff specialist for league minimum...mare cant even be put in the same sentence as adam vinatieri, the guy is lights out on field goals...and thats what we pay mare the money for...not because hes a kick off specialist...the guy flat out stunk this year when it mattered, hes simply just not worth it...restructure or cut him...and i prefer the "cut him" option

hes overpayed, he makes over two million....look at his stats the last five years.......since 2001 hes had only one year over 80 percent...thats 2005, otherwise hes steadily declined every year....its not one bad year

before that he was lights out...hes had bad years the last 4 out of five seasons, not just one....its time for a change

He's had more then one bad year.

Olindo must go.

if a kicker stays with you his whole career he's going to have some ups and downs they all go thru it,but if you notice if you give up on them they always come back to haunt you,,, does anyone remember his game at indy,,i've NEVERSEEN A BETTER PERFORMANCE BY A KICKER THAN THAT GAME,,,PHENOMONAL,,,5 FOR 5 WITH 5 TOUCHBACKS,,HIS RYTHYM WILL COME BACK,,he's the least of our concerns

Nope, and spellcheck is a good thing.

i guess you dont watch too much football then, ive seen many better performances, as much as it pains me to say, coming from the kicker on the team that this "PHENOMINAL" performance came against...im sorry i guess i missed the meeting that touchbacks were the measure of a "PHENOMONAL" kicker....if you think hes the LEAST of our concerns you need to reevaluate things as a fan...the guy barely hits 70 percent of his field goals....look at vinitieris stats in comparison:

field goals make a huge difference...and the guy wont be kicking them next year....hes not good and hes not getting better.....period....field goals can win and lose games....but i guess thats the least of our concerns right?

yeah its obvious people just make statements without having ANY knowledge of the game or the statistics involved within the game....

I guess theres two types of fans....1. dolphin fans 2. Football fans that love the dolphins

dude please,if you did'nt get it the first time let me reiterate, the 5 for 5 stood for field goals that he made in the game,,he was also 5 for 5 in his kickoffs being touchbacks, maybe you would of known what i was talking about if you actually saw the game, but i highly doubt you got to a sports bar to watch it that day., think before you post buddy.

I love Olindo. I remember when he first started kicking for us [I was like 10-11 then], this guy was automatic. But he has declined, and it's time to look another direction.

At the same time, protection wasn't so great on our special teams when we set up the field goal. There was constant pressure on Mare.
