Marino and the most Career yards

Dan's single season yardage of 5,084 is still mind-blowing when
I think back on it.

well it did take farve 10 or more games to break dans record but brett farve is a top 5 QB of all time

I think Peyton Manning will have all the records in about another 5-7 years...yards, tds, wins, that's just the way it is. I still would take Dan Marino as my best ever QB.

The only notable record Marino still holds are

Most Yards Passing, Season: 5,084 in 1984
Most Games, 400 or more Yards Passing, Career: 13
Most Games, 400 or more Yards Passing, Season: 4 in 1984
Most Games, 300 or more Yards Passing, Career: 63
Most Games, Four or more Touchdown Passes, Career: 21 Most Games, Four or more Touchdown Passes, Season: 6 in 1984
Most Seasons Leading League, Attempts: 5 (1984, 1986, 1988, 1992, 1997)
Most Seasons Leading League, Completions: 6 (1984-86, 1988, 1992, 1997)
Most Seasons, 40 or more Touchdown Passes: 2 (1984, 1986)
100 TD Passes in Fewest Number of Games to Start Career: 44 (9/7/1986 at San Diego)
200 TD passes in Fewest Number of Games to Start Career: 89 (9/17/1989 at New England)
300 TD passes in Fewest Number of Games to Start Career: 157 (9/4/1994 vs. New England)
Highest TD-INT differential: +168

Records are meant to be broken, A record can't stand forever. Peyton is on his way up their as well, he just needs some more years under his belt. But you have to admit, Farve's Consecutive start record is absolutely mind boggling, it is almost inhuman to have that many starts in a row.

Anyone think Favre stuck around for the records?? Kind of odd for him to leave now when that young Packers team should be a favorite to win the NFC.

Farve did not stick around just to break records, (esp. the INT one.) he stuck around because he was having fun. Now the bar is set high and it would be tough to repeat what they did last year. Even if they fell to the Divisional playoff game it would still not be as good as the NFC championship.

Sorry, but I don't buy that, if it was because he was having fun, then it's a very strange coincidence that after breaking Dan's records, he no longer is having fun.

Take nothing away from the guy, he was a great QB, but there was a reason why he continued to stick around, and it was not having fun.

thanks yall much apprieciated. oh well. i don't think it says as much about him as dan's yards say about him. Farve got the most interceptions doing what he did. dan got his records with a whole lot less interceptions.
