Imagine, if you will Dan The Man & The Marks Brothers with todays rules, and little need of a running game. Think Brees is lighting it up?

OMG, what I would not give.

Yes, Dan and the crew would own the NFL now a days. With the Defensive rules in place it wouldnt be fair.

Marino would have to throw for 400 yards a game with the defense we have now, just to win. Which would be simple for him!

Yup. This is a more pass happy league nowadays. Back when Marino was playing the NFC dominated super bowls because of good defenses and BIG STRONG offensive lines being able to run the ball.

Elway didn't win a super bowl until he got a 2000 yard rusher in Terrell Davis along with a much bigger and stronger defense in Denver. And Favre didn't win a super bowl until he had the #1 ranked defense on his team and a very good running attack on offense.

The running game was more important during the Marino years.. Of course now that the passing game is of prime importance (as all the rules benefit the passing game), the Dolphins are more of a running team these days.

Just goes to show the frustration of being a Dolphins fan.

Yeah, putting up the numbers that they did is amazing considering they did it when DBs were actually allowed to play D.

Give him R & R, and we would be winning Super Bowls without a D.

We have not been very lucky. In addition to what you posted, we get a high pick in a weak draft, and a low pick in a strong draft.

I have just about had it with the Football Gods. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
