Marino-Elway comebacks

I once posted a link about the Elway-Marino comeback controversy that said many of Elway's comebacks were unfairly counted. Here's more on the subject from a more prominent source:

A sample:

Dan Marino had many GWDs (Game-Winning-Drives) of his own, but the Dolphins' public relations department didn't classify them as comebacks. In fact, Marino had more GWDs than Elway, by a 51-49 margin.
If you count only "true" fourth-quarter comebacks, then Marino also leads Elway, 36 to 34.

Great read. It's interesting that the "comeback" or "GWD" is more a matter of propaganda from a teams media relations staff than a defined bonafide statistic. Eat it Elway!
