Did anyone see this the other night on one of the ESPN's? I've seen it before, but I've got to tell you..He was the BEST EVER by far, hands down, NO CONTEST! Man I miss watching him play... his pocket awareness was second to none and his release and acuracy was unbelievable.
I liked the part where Bill Walsh was breaking down film clips on Dan and he was in AWE of him. He, Walsh, was quick to point out how fast Marino's feet were. I knew he had great escapability, but to see Walsh break it down the way he did was increadable.
He also had a great comment: "Joe Montana was a product of a system, Dan Marino WAS a system".

TGall13, I agree sir Dan Marino was all about talent, class, and professinalism. I agree that he was the greatest of all time, numbers don't lie, and number 13 has plenty of numbers in his favor. God bless the fine memory of this nfl legend.

This quote of Walsh's is how I've always felt about Marino and it is why, I've always ranked him at the top of my list of great qb's. I can't even imagine how Dan might have done in a system than included the RB's Montana had not to mention Jerry Rice.

A friend of mine bought that video at a tribute for Marino after he retired and sent it to me. I know I have watched it many times, and I'm still in awe of the guy's talent. I am also in awe, and have been for years. of the work he and Claire do for their community. Having two autistic nephews, I so appreciate the money they have raised for research in the proper therapies for these children. I've even volunteered at a couple of his tournaments because I so believe in what they are doing. They have pioneered,at the Dan Marino Center of the Miami Children's Hospital, processes that are getting autistic children diagnosed earlier, and therapies that have helped many of them get into regular school by their kindergarten or first grade year and succeed. Kudos to Mr and Mrs Marino. BTW they have adopted a second Chinese girl since that video was made.

Seems as though Bill Walsh disagrees with you. I'll side with Bill Walsh, but thanks for contributing.

Everytime I watch this I tear up a little bit, he was the best of them all. There will never be another like Danny, EVER!!! Those passes were orchestrated, masterpieces, artistic, and awe inspiring; that is the way QB was meant to be played. Simply put, if God has a football team, Danny will be first string QB when he reaches heaven. Every highlight reminds me of just how good us phin fans had it for so long, yeah we didn't win a superbowl, but would you honestly trade all the magic and emotion that Dan gave for 1 ring? I don't think so.
