It’s a credit to everybody that’s involved,” said Marino, who was at the team’s practice facility interviewing Head Coach Joe Philbin and players for Sunday’s pregame show, to Dolphins.com. “It’s a credit to Joe Philbin, the coaching staff and the players and sometimes as a team you get that us-against-the-world mentality and it just brings everybody closer together at times. I think that’s what happened and you’ve got to give everybody a lot of credit for that.”

You want to have a quarterback and a young guy that is going to be consistently there for you and play at a high level,” Marino said. “I think he’s continued to get better and more aware of the position and how to play it and these are big games for him. This is probably the biggest game of his career so far and if the Dolphins win this one then the next week is going to be the biggest game of his career and that’s just how the position is.”

Good stuff. I can't wait to see the interview. Thanks gafin.

I love that last part. This game is the biggest of his career and after that is the biggest game of his career. Very profound thought from Marino and something I never thought about.

Marino is absolutely right. What he is alluding to, IMO, is that the thought process for a QB should be that every game should be, in a QBs mentality, the biggest game of his career. A lot of pressure? Absolutely. But it is the one's that are able to rise to the occasion, and even above it, that set themselves apart from the rest. Tannehill may be one of these. We shall see.

I am delighted to see Dan Marino publicly acknowledging the current Dolphins. His work is on TV and he has to be seen to be pretty unbiased, but he's still a Miami Dolphin at heart and it is great to see him getting behind Joe and the team.

He has tried to get behind them before and ended up with getting let down like the rest of us. This team seems different. Marino will still be objective, but he can now let his homerism peek out if they continue to win.
It must have been sweet for him to gloat at Cowher after than win last week. I am sure he enjoyed himself off stage.

I'd love to see some behind the scenes video of him out there throwing around with other players. I'd pay to see an impromptu deep ball to Wallace flawlessly done. You know he still has a passion to throw.

Good stuff from Danny Boy . Thanks for posting

really??!! then GET OFF YOUR DUFF, OUTTA THAT NY STUDIO, AND GET YUR ASS INVOLVED (for good) -- just sayin
