I was just watching NFL networks countdown of the top 10 pass rushers and I really didn't see a lot of Fin QB's getting punished. Does anyone know how many times Marino was sacked by lawrence taylor? Or even more important. Does anyone have a link to some clips of Big hits marino took? Thanks guys!

And BTW, even Bruce Smith had trouble with Webb, and notching sacks on Marino.

Dan didn't take many big hits. He was the most elusive immobile QB ever. Slower than glass, but he was Fred Astaire in that pocket. I know he took a few big hits, but they were so rare, that I don't remember them outside of Greg Lloyd's cheap shot.

Don't forget Dan's quick release that kept him from being sacked often. He was frequently the least sacked QB in the league, and it wasn't just the o line. Witness how often Steve DeBerg was bloodied behind the same line. He held the ball forever.

We lost to them in Giant's Stadium back in their hayday.If I recall,LT got to him once.Now if you look at Bruce Smith's sack total against Marino.I think it's an astonishing statistic on how well Webb played against him.

I remember when we played the Giants away, we didn't fair very well. we got hammered in fact, something like 21-3. I dont think Dan got out of our half more than once in the whole game. It is the ony game I remember that we played away against a LT team. I just remember it being horrendous at the time.

It is the ony game I remember that we played away against a LT team. I just remember it being horrendous at the time.

The only time marino faced the real LT was in 1990, they crushed Miami 20-3. The only other time he faced LT was late in 1993 but that was a broken down on the verge of retirement LT. I don't now how many sacks LT had against marino but he really only faced him once.

According to Dan, he didn't say anything Lloyd after the hit, he was just trying to catch his breath after Greg knocked the wind out of him.

Dan took some hits but he was elusive enough to avoid most of them. Plus, he had a great LT in Richmond Webb, who we're still trying to replace after all these years.
