Marino not among greatest QBs ever

Its so sad that we live in a society that only cares about winning and losing. I guess thats what football is about but i will never believe that it what makes a player the best or just good at some things they do. This guy is right in a lot of sense but i still believe Dan to be one of the greatest QB's ever.

Thats ALL football is about.

He's a moron. Football is a team game. You can't blame Marino for not getting a SB ring.

Man football is a team process, it can't entirely be boiled down to the W-L column. When a unit works as a team and plays smart then the winning should take care of itself, but the teamwork and dedication come first.

Incredibly dumb statement.

Gale Sayers was one of the greatest RB's to ever play as was OJ Simpson.

How many titles did they win?

Im sure everyone would beleive me that if Marino was on a 49ers or Cowboys team he would prob have more than 3 rings.

Aparently you didnt read the VERY next line... i know thats what football is about but that does NOT determine if a player was great because as everyone else said, its a TEAM that wins or loses not a player. Therefore only numbers, statistics and poise should be factored in when determining "greatness".

a great example would be in college when candits r gearin up for the heisman trophy, only when a team wins, that player moves up in the race, but if his team losses but he has like 150+ rushing or 200+ passing yards he drops.

You can't judge the quality of a player by whether or not his team ever won a championship. Dan Marino is one of if not the greatest QBs of all-time, and Trent Dilfer was always mediocre at best. Yet, Trent has a ring and Marino doesn't. Doesn't mean Dilfer was ever better than Marino, it means that year the Baltimore Ravens were a better team than the Miami Dolphins were in the Marino era.

That article made me sick. How can you say he wasn't even close to being the greatest of all time? Marino's name is always mentioned when your talking about the best QB's ever. Of all the QB's he mentioned, I'd only put maybe one or two above Marino. But to say that he's not even close to being the best is just A$$nine. I'd like to slap some sense into that guy.
