Ive been arguing all night with my friends. They have been telling me that Marino is out of the top 8 all time greatest QBs. Heres the better QBS in their opinion (deff not mine) no particular order:\

unitas
favre (boooooooooooooooo)
young
elway
aikman (trust me i argued more than hour about this one all they could come up with was "dude he won superbowls")
montana
brady
namath







Marino is god

My short reply is that your friends have lost their minds...
 
dude ive had this arguement so many times and its always with some ignorant person who thinks you cant be a good qb unless you win a superbowl so i try and prove what a good qb he was with facts and records hes had and it always just goes back to superbowls.
 
Namath? I don't know about that one. I don't know that I'd put Aikman in there only because he won super bowls. So did Dilfer (one).

You should list them based on how the individual did as a QB.
 
namath had more ints then tds in his career

favre is gonna have the record for most ints of all time after this year

elways career passing rating 79.9 marino has 10,000 more yards then him

Marino has 28,419 more yards 255 more tds then aikman

Marino has 28,237 more yards 188 more tds then young

Your friends are obviously cracking on Dan for not winning a ring. Same reason they dont have Manning on that list. Superbowls are given to teams not individual players.

Marino and Montana are still the two best QBs I've ever seen.
 
Namath= one of the most over rated QB of all time..

if he never "called" that superbowl he would not be the "Joe Namath" he is today
 
and dan also has 420 touchdowns, thats more then some teams score in 10 years hahaha
 
wow, i think you have to be one VERY ignorant person to not even put him in the top 8. He EASILY is in the top 8. If you go by superbowls and stats then yes some of those guys deserve to be ahead of him but certianly not 8, probably not even 5.
 
Namath and Favre are 2 of the most over rated QBs of all time. People can argue that because it is all speculative, but I dont see how a sane man can put Namath in the top 50. Farve should not be considered top 20 based on his interceptions alone. Anyone else playing like that would have been benched along time ago.
 
Anybody that claims Joe Namath was a "great QB", let alone better than Marino.......just doesn't know football.
 
Browns fan here. Your friends are nuts. Marino is one of the top 3 QBs of all time. There is a good arguement that he is the best ever.
