Marino says Henne should play.....

I am a big marino fan but at this point he is wrong. i do think if penny struggles of course play him.

i agree with that statement. There's nothing wrong about it. We have to be careful this doesn't turn into John Beck Season 2 part of the story...

Well I did not hear the statement at all, just the context of the thread. I agree on this assessment. As for John beck he should have never been the starter and he is now in a role that he is more suited for. Henne is a much better prospect.

Dan is right. Henne does need some game experience. I like the job Pennington is doing and I'm happy he is here, but Henne is the future and some playing time is important.
 
You know, I really didn't understand the impact starting Beck (last year) had on this team until now. There are a lot of people here that are scarred by that...

What we need to realize "as a group" is that there is no one answer for every player. There are guys that will succeed from day one (if put in the situation), others will take a year or two to figure things out.

Beck was not ready to start last year, that does not mean that Henne is in the same boat.

We made a mistake drafting Beck over Edwards but that has nothing to do with Henne.
 
i think Henne will do good for us when he finally gets that chance to show what he can do...he was a 4 year starter at Michigan,that alone tells me about his strong desire to be a leader and his desire&ability to be the best QB he can....JMO though...

As much as I dislike Cameron, you can't fault him on that. QBs are pretty much hit or miss, and its easy to make a statement like this a few seasons later when you see who the good QBs actually were.......
