MARINO special on ESPN now (1:30-2pm)

watching it...some just said " id didnt know what the record meant at the time, but i do now. No one is ever going to beat that record i mean its 48 touchdowns!" boy was he wrong...

I'm watching it, i didn't see many of the early day Marino games. But i've seen them on tape and things like this are great to watch for me so i can expirience the joy you older guys did. I love this show, i tried to tape it but i cant find a tape :(

I tell you. Five years of the type of quarterback play we have seen since Dan retired is enough to make you forget just how good Dan was.

I watched him do that stuff back then, and I'm still in awe watching him do it on tape.

Gosh! I think I might cry watching this.

What we need one of the people who have all the games ont he pc to do is make a marino highlight film... oh man that would make me tear up for sure

The amazing thing......well, one of the amazing things anyway..... was how accurate Dan was throwing 30-50 yds downfield. He would be under tremendous pressure and send the ball 50yds in the air, and hit his receiver in stride. There were not many acrobatic diving, twisting catches because there didnt need to be. Dan put the ball where the receiver could catch it and still stay on his feet.

Yeah that was O.J.McDuffie that said that...

I think it was Mark Clayton who said that in the video.

I watched it last week on ON DEMAND so for all of you with Comcast ON DEMAND you can catch the show by going to the NFL section under Sports
