Hasn't Dan held this record for like 25 years? With today's rules, Dan could throw for 500-600 yards every week, especially with Duper and Clayton being able to run down the field without being held, bumped and covered with stickum. The QB's also have it way easier....you can't even cough on a QB today without getting flagged.

Haha, I never compared Brady or any other QB to Dan. Just stating that his record will most likely get broken this season.
 
the only people that can openly say that they are for SFL is fans. but, fans aren't the only ones thinking it.
 
Dan has to say what won't get him in trouble. Period. He's had nice things to say about everyone who's been associated with the franchise since he retired, including Cam Cameron when the team was 0-10.

Would you consider it noteworthy on a standalone basis if he thought the SFL was a good thing? Or is it only right to merge those threads that are in favor of SFL? Personally, I think if we are going to merge one, we need to merge them all.

He obviously thinks it's about the players here, saying they would never purposely suck, which is true.

Has nothing to do with fans wanting the #1 draft pick in a lost season.
 
Marino has a huge ego. His biggest nightmare is Luck becoming a south florida icon and everyone forgetting about marino.

Because every where else in North America Marino is laughed at as a loser who never won a super bowl. Only in south florida does Marino have a good reputation and he's scared that Andrew Luck will make Marino a forgotten man in south florida when Luck wins multiple super bowls as a Dolphin.

Screw Marino. He had 17 years of chances and he didn't deliver when it was needed most... He looked piss poor in too many playoff games to remember. His playoff numbers after his first 3 years were awful. Getting shut out in 2nd halves of very important playoff games. INT after INT after INT,, after stupid pass after stupid pass after stupid pass,, after stupid decision after stupid decision after stupid decision,. Look at Marino's playoff games over his final 15 years and it was mediocre performances at best,, for the most part (with many embarrassing playoff performances thrown in there).

He had his chances and failed time and time and time again. Time for Luck

Well, perhaps you're right. There is something to be said for consistency and even-handedness. FWIW I notice on a competing forum that they took a cue from us and titled their mega thread something like "Merged Suck For Luck x 1Billion" so it's certainly not just you guys who need to keep the main forum from running amok.

To that end, I modified a smiley that anyone is welcome to use to assist our sometimes overburdened (or otherwise preoccupied porn site-surfing) mods in what's destined to become an even more unwieldy, challenging job as the season progresses:

Yea...Marino played defense in those years as well...he also played Running back...Luck would be lucky to be HALF as good as Marino ever was...
