I think Dan wants a repeat of the 1994 opening day game against NE....or at least Henne to perform as he did in that game with only one ankle.

Chad has the arm and ability. But you just can not duplicate the fire that burned inside of Dan.

Marino didn't have fire, he had some cross of a volcano and supernova in him, that's NEVER going to be duplicated.

Can you imagine how Dan Marino would reacted to Dan Henning as an OC?

I imagine it would be along the lines of Dan telling Jimmy to look at the scoreboard in Indy that time... right after he changed a 4th quarter/4th down play to a deep bomb to Gadsden, and hit it for 60+ down to the Colts goal line.

Actually I think Marino and Henning would have gotten along fine.... Henning seems the laid back sort.

Marino and David Lee would have been entertaining though. :) I bet Lee would walk funny with that training camp QB buzzer up a certain orifice. hehe Hell... I'd pay money to see Danny and David Lee AND/OR Brandon Marshall interact on the field too. lol

Thanks for posting that video, I haven't seen that game in a long time. God I miss him... The only problem I have with that video is after the touchdown, Fryar is gesturing that its not him, its God... But instead of pointing at the sky, he should have been pointing at Number 13.

Heneing is that you ? you got it wrong pal . thats what is wrong with Henne now he wasnt turning it loose and was afraid of making mistakes thats why he was dink and dunk all this time .while Marino when he came into the league he was fireing it at will and had nobody to stop him from doing it coach shula let Danny Boy come out and set it on fire yeah Danny made a few mistakes but he learned what he could do and what throws he could make thats what made Danny the QB he is/was today so yeah you are not makeing a bit of sence so whitout further ado come on guys and give me thanks on this one..

No they really didn't "Try" that, They brought him in at a time when they just wanted to use his name and face as being a part of the Dolphins Orgainization to put hope in the hearts of their fans and to hopefully fill more seats. Problem was they had no clear cut plans for what he would/could do or how they could involve him in the orgainization...when he tried to become involved they made it clear to him he had no say which in turn made it clear to Dan that they just wanted his name to be involved in the Franchise not his brain and that is the when and the why he quit.

If Miami could bring him in with a defined reason of why and how he would contribute I'd be ALL IN for that indeed, even if it was to be a Coach for our QB's. People have mentioned using Pennington in that way so I have to wonder why Pennington? Why not the Man himself Mr Marino? I could think of no one who would be better for that job than Dan but I think the main problem would be the money...Pretty sure he would be making more in TV than he'd make as a Coach but worth the shot.

in fact its quite the opposite. Remember "check with me"? He was never allowed to turn it loose. Henning and Sparano preached conservative play and it showed. Agree with Dan, turn it loose
