marino wants ginn to stay

it would be different if Marino was the one throwing to him...

but depending on our offseason moves I don't want him gone this season

It does make me wonder what ginn might be with marino back there... I know henne can pitch the ball but over the past few years, with marino building his confidence, taking full advantage of ginns speed, i know marino cant make a man catch, but Marino made everyone around him better. It mighta been something...

r u insane he won't be able to catch marino's passes

ha ha ya marinos bullets might break ginns fingers , good one

Dan Marino says the great speed Ted Ginn has should be enough to keep the receiver on the field more. (Allen Eyestone/The Post)

“If you draft, you look at where your picks are and try to get the best people available. But sometimes you’ve gotta go for a position because you need it. They need playmakers. They do. And defensively you’re always looking for pass-rushers too.”

Specifically asked his thoughts on Ginn, Marino said, “You’ve gotta have him in the game just because of his sheer speed and his ability to get
:lol2: down the field. Even if he’s a decoy sometimes, (opposing teams) have gotta cover him. He’s a legit guy to get down the field. Anytime you’ve got that kind of speed you’ve gotta have him in the game
:lol2:

marino seems to always stick up for ginn on cbs, maybe marino is friends with ted ginns dad also, lol

I'm a big Marino fan, but I disagree that we need to keep him. We can get a player to return kicks AND PUNTS, and another to be that long ball threat.

watch out romio, x-pocalypse is spend all day making sure your rep is red!

How many time do I have to say this, Ginn is NOT a playmaker. Just because you can run down the field real fast does not make you a playmaker at all. Ginn is too much of ***** to be a playmaker. Making plays requires being physical and picking up YAC, not catching a deep ball every 4-5 games. Ginn isn't and will never be phsyical enough to be considered a playmaker. YAC makes a playmaker, not a high 40 yard dash...

lets face it hes right speed elite speed like ginn is necessary, we beg for playmakers . we have one in ginn!
Playmakers catch the ball. I could deal with the running out bounds and shying away from contact. I could stand miserable YAC and not diving for the ball but when the ball hits his hands and he can't hang onto it or worse yet bobble it into a defender's hands I say enough. His production is not equal to his mistakes.
