kind of eerie.
On Sunday, October 9, 1983, Dan Marino made his first start in the NFL a success by throwing three touchdown passes and completing 19 of 29 passes for 322 yards. Unfortunately, the Dolphins lost in overtime to the Buffalo Bills.

also i never knew he was the 1st ever draft pick of the usfl by the la express. he wouldve signed but money wasnt right. man our team history wouldve been a lot different if los angeles wouldve came up with some more loot.

It certainly would have changed our history had Marino signed with the LA Express but we don't know which way. We may have won a Super Bowl by now.

i agree but roethlisberger might argue with you

Roethelisberger handed off 30 times a game and threw about 15. He let his defense and running game do the work on a very talented team. The stats posted for Dan are phenomenal, whether for a rookie or otherwise.

hey i said i agreee. i found this tidbit funny though .His hometown Pittsburgh Steelers were also rumored to be drafting him as a replacement for an aging Terry Bradshaw, but the team drafted defensive tackle Gabriel Rivera instead, feeling at the time that either Cliff Stoudt or Mark Malone (both already on the roster, with Stoudt eventually named the starter for the 1983 season) would effectively replace Bradshaw.

well its official henne is in at qb the rest of year , just like marino did in his 1st start early october vs the bills. lets hope henne can come close to marinos success.
