Marino's house...WoW!

Let me let you guys in on the down low on this place. How do i Know, I used to live in Weston and parkland

For those outside of Florida all major areas especially Nice areas are gated communities. Weston is the epitome of gated communities and has a homeowners association rule book as thick as a legal reference set. However the property is always perfect and the values skyrocket. The Arvida company built Weston and windmill Ranches is where the " money" is. Dans house was sold to him at a discount rate I believe 1-5 million and he agreed to kind of advertise in the beginning of the Weston build out. the arvida company also allocated land for the Dan Marino Children's hospital as part of the deal. So that money from his house is a absolute CRAP load of profit.

Dans Kids already go to school in Coral Springs/Parkland, how do i know? They go to the private school right by my house, how do i know that? My cousin goes there and I've seen him at school events. Its pretty much forbidden to ask him for autographs or pictures, however I've tried twice to just talk to him but they cut out pretty quick.

Parkland is one step up from Weston, the cheapest house I ever saw there was $750,000 in 1995 ( My Inlaws house when they built it) it was quite large. Very tight security and lots of land and just absolutely gorgeous!!!

So Dan is doing just fine and i've even driven by the "supposed" are where his new place is/being built. no need to disclose that info cause the man deserves a private life, not to mention you couldn't get close if you tried all the damn security. Theres alot of sports stars and well to do's that live in that area. anyways just wanted to give you guys the down-low

The "Guskateer" is classic! and I like how you spelled house...hows. That was cool too.

This past Super Bowl my dad calls me up and tells me..."guess where I saw the Super Bowl?" That's right...Dan Marino's house! I thought he was just meesing with me but he works for a catering company and he was contracted out to cater a SUper Bowl party at his house. He said that Dan didn't show up until right about half time because I guess he had to fly back from NY from the filming pre game shows or something. But he said that a lot of the classic Dolphins were there. Mainly some of the 72' cast. I questions him at first but looking at those pictures sort of confirms it. I remember him telling me that he had a game room that had 2 plasma TV's that are on powered swivels so you can face them where ever you are in the room. I still can't believe my SOB dad actually hung out there. BY the way, just kidding about the SOB comment. My dad is my hero and I meant that in an unbelievable sort of way.

Here's the deal guys.

If we put down 10% ($159, 000)..Our mortgage payments will be around $110,000. I figure if I can get 109 roommates, I can afford to by the house.

Who's in? I'm sure we could all fit. Parking may be a problem but we can cross that bridge when we get there. I'd hate for this house to fall in the hands of a Bills or Jets fan.

It's a very nice house, but I wouldn't want to live there. The style is very old fashion and it just doesn't jump out as being as comfortable as most of the houses on cribs. Any else agree with me?

I agree, its too northern, no doubt well built but too dark. Did love that pool tho!

BTW...what is a "florida room"?

I think its like a patio room, with those bigazz windows, that let all the Florida sunshine in, to burn tumors into your skin.

I wouldn't think the money pit side of it, would be as much of an issue, as the overall vastness of it.
Seems like it would get old, having to walk a 1/4 mile to the "Breakfast Nook", and another 1/8th mile back to the nearest bathroom, just to take the morning crump. Especially with Marino's knees, er ankle, er hip...

That place is bigger than my highschool.

I'd need to do some serious redecorating if I was living there, though. Old fashion style doesn't do it for me.

I do mortgages in FL, I'll help, you guys find the 109 roomies!

Check your math. $159,000 is only 1% down payment, not 10.
