Williams sounded excited about joining the Dolphins right after his signing became official in March and nothing has changed after the first several days of the offseason program.

If anything, Williams is even more jacked up. And he says he’s not the only one.

“Everybody is fired up, man,” Williams said. “Anytime you see anybody walking around — it doesn’t matter, from the front office to equipment guys, it doesn’t matter — everybody has the same type of enthusiasm and that’s definitely what I had in mind when I first came for the visit and it’s what I got.”

Williams said another reason he chose to sign with the Dolphins and bypassed the opportunity to even visit other teams that were interested was the chance to play with guys like Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh.

Each of them has four Pro Bowl invitations on their resume, and Williams can’t wait to see what they can accomplish together, particularly after hearing defensive coordinator Vance Joseph talk about how pressure will play a big part in what he wants to do with the defense.

“The mentality is so important in football,” Williams said. “With the mind-set and the understanding of what the coaches are going to do, what they plan on doing and what you know they’re going to allow you to do, it’s rejuvenating. I look forward to it and fortunately I have a bunch of guys around me that are great players. The sky is going to be the limit.

“I’m extremely excited (about playing with Wake and Suh). That’s the reason why I came. Being able to see what they bring to the table and being able to add to that puzzle, the sky is going to be the limit. And I’m definitely ready. I’m anxious. Just want to get after it and work and just put my best foot forward.”

Exactly man this is a new team with a new life force! Gase is the best thing that's happened to this team which also allows me to have gratitude towards Ross&Tb for finding him.
Being an empath and energy worker I'm well aware that energy is everything!! So we can't view this team as the dolphins from '15 and the lifeless Philbin era. The team is an extension of the HC and it carries the energy or lack of (philbin) that the coach has. This is an energy transformation that's occurring here.
Ahhh this is a fresh start... I'm telling you success is right around the corner.

Typical "great to be here" speak, but he's going to be extra happy not playing LB

"The Mojo" is definitely a key ingredient and this is the time a year to cultivate it. It's a tough schedule but I'm confident if this team can stick together and buy-in to the coaching staff that it can grow as the year progresses and hopefully be a force by the playoffs.

Need to get the mojo going here, to unite the team as one, and play as one.

Absolutely right!!! This kind of enthusiasm will permeate into the entire team...we will add some youth for wake and Williams...we will add a hard hitting secondary that actually puts some concern in the opposing receivers...the coaching and leadership on this team will be much better than we have seen in the past few years

We have the talent on THIS team to be competitive and we will add better talent during the draft....We will be better this year....contenders at the very least

At the very least slow some teams down.

Bring on the Seahawks and Patriots.

Last time we faced each of those teams, we beat them.

"Everyone"? Does he know anyone yet?

Linemates with Earl Mitchell on a Houston team that had Vance Joseph on the staff . . Faced the Fins twice a year in Buffalo the last couple of seasons, on the team over a month . . Pretty sure he knows these guys well enough.

"great to be here speak" or not, what defensive lineman wouldn't love to play on the same line as Ndamukong Suh and Cam Wake? you know that's not hyperbole.

Im optimistic about Gase, but dont get too ahead of yourself. The man has never been a head coach before. Theres no way you can say he will be great or even good with any sort of certainty.

Seems like more than just the usual bs players say every year. He seems genuinely excited. I hope wake can come back strong! What about delmas too? Is he long gone or what?

Would love Lou Delmas in a reserve Safety/player coach type of role.

But we signed IAQ to be the starter opposite of Jones.
