If you are refer to ELITE at their respective position (guys who actually get big paydays), then you get a better idea of what a guy should expect to get.

All contracts have a precedent.

Brady's newest contract is about $15 million per year and Peyton's last deal with the Colts had him at $18 million per year.

Latest two DE contract have BOTH Julius and Mario at $16 million per year.

Best two OT contract are $12 million (Joe Thomas) and $11 million (Jake Long) per year.

That is the way it will go for future ELITE FA contracts. QB>DE>OT.

? Ok if you think he's elite and deserves that money.... but imo he in no way as shown he is elite or deserves elite pay

My original post was why he not the position, got that type of money and how crazy it is....no justification for it IMO.

Mario's a very, very good player, but that's one hell of a big contract.

He's a great player. I think last year in houston he didn't do as much as he should (before his injury obviously), because of his position change. He belongs in DE spot or doing just the same job as Wake does here IMO.

Great player, too rich for my blood. Considering Cam Wake makes under $600,000 this year, it is a total ripoff. Cam Wake has been better than Mario the last 2 seasons.
