Mario Williams starting to get going

Living in New York I get to see the Giants every week and I gotta tell you that Williams is starting to find his groove. He had one series where he basically destroyed the Giants by himself. The second half had the Giants double teaming the kid. Doesnt sound like a bust to me. I'm telling you, in three years Williams is going to be in the ProBowl and Bush is going to be a third down back aka Michael Pittman. Gotta love those morons on tv who were ragging the Texans for taking him over Bush
 
I was one of the not so many that supported taking Mario over Bush. So I hope he keeps improving like he has.

Bush has all the physical talent, but he refuses to run like an NFL player. He never hits the hole and just tries to outrun everyone and make them miss, and that doesnt work in the NFL

I thought he was the best player last year followed by Cutler. Bush to me will never be a featured back and the medias infatuation with him was ridiculous. Good call Alex44 on Mario. You'll be proved right pretty soon
 
Yeah but Mario doesn't put fans in the seats like Bush does. New Orleans has ony lost TWICE I believe......the Texans lose pretty much every week.

I think you nailed it. Offense seells tickets and defense wins championships. Next year they need linebackers to fill out their defense
 
i never doubted Mario being a good player, hell, i thought he would be a great player.

But once bush learns the game more, learns how to run, learns how to hit the hole, hes going to destroy the league.
 
yes, there is a reason why he was the #1 pick. and why the texans took him over bush: he's a better player than bush.
 
Super Mario will be really good. You have to remember that the Texans D line isn't the greatest. In the few games I'v watched of theirs, he was getting alot of double teams. I think he wil be a very solid D end.

As far as who is the beter pick, him or Bush, its hard to say. Two different positions makes it hard to compare. I look forward to looking at both of their numbers in a few years to see each of their impacts on the teams.
 
I love how everyone 'called' this, I can remember MAYBE one or two people on this board agreeing with this move. And now everyone 'knew' Bush was going to be a bust? Ive gotta call BS on this thread.

naa a lot of people did... ive been saying mario was a great pick all along, i never said bush was gonna be a bust but i thought mario was a good choice...
