could this be a sign that he may come here?

Not trying to spread a "Get Marion Barber thread" but it maybe possible.

Code:
The Cowboys are reportedly disappointed that restricted free agent Marion Barber is not working out at their practice facility this offseason.
Barber has also not yet signed his $2.562 million tender. The sides have made no progress towards an extension. Barber is likely to report to training camp in shape, however, as he's working out on his own in Miami.

^^rotoworld.

doubt it but i would love it!

I agree.

Barber is a hard runner and still runs hard in the 4th quarter but we dont really need a RB at this point.

Ronnie & Ricky comittee should be more than able to handle the backfield and if we needed a fill in RB beyond R & R the two rookies sound impressive so far.

Camp in pads and some preseason should reveal more about those two backups but adding another starter caliber RB at starter price to be a 3rd string back doesnt make much sense to me.

Miami has other needs at WR and DB mostly.

Means nothing.

and runningback is the one position we have solid depth at.. Granted Ricky is in shape

When the first rumor of Barber being traded to Miami started, I was soooooo in favor of it. A Brown-Barber combo is much better than a Brown-Williams.

I agree but there is simply no way we will sign him IMO. Barber wants about a 50 million contract. That would be 85 million in the backfield alone, not to mention the 1st round pick (at the minimum) it would cost us. I dont think there is anyway in hell Parcells or Ireland would do that.

Barber is not working out in Miami due to heading over there. Plenty of Drew Rosenhaus' clients work out in Miami on their own. Jeremy Shockey has done it almost every year since he was drafted, and he never left the giants. Barber has not signed his tender because he wants a contract similar to LT, but we are offering closer to Michael Turner. If anything, both sides might wait until after this season and get a better look at his production. That will give a better idea of his value. I am beyond positive that he stays in Dallas, otherwise we wouldnt have passed on Mendenhall for having a similar running style. Personally, I would have thought these rumors would have died with the Dallas is giving Miami their 2 firsts and Barber for McFadden talk. Barber will end up staying in Dallas. Jerry Jones never lets the players he covets go.

We would have to give up way too much, and then we would have to invest way too much to bring him here. I love the way Barber runs and I think he's an outstanding back. I just don't see us giving up a first and then giving him the money that he's asking for.

He'll be playing in Dallas at least for this season. I wouldn't be surprised if he left Dallas once his contract is up. But one has to question how long Barber will be able to play considering how physically he runs. He doesn't try to avoid contact at all, and I have to think his career won't be a particularly long one.

I would've love to have Marion "the Barbarion" in Miami, but now it may be too late.....We just drafted 2 RB's.....No way Miami trades for another RB.
