Marion Dukes quits team

Olineman rookie Marion Dukes has left the team to return to college.

Coach Cameron had this to say:

"He came to me this morning and he's going to go back and be a student assistant coach at Clemson," Cameron said. "He's a wonderful young man and we don't feel like he's running out on us. He had thought about it a great deal, didn't want to waste our time and I respect him for that."

Now what are we going to do????

Also, do you have a link?
I haven't seen this info on ESPN.com or ESPN News TV yet...

we should trade a wr or a rb for a olineman or bring in two more olinemen or we will be in trouble.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BACK TO SCHOOL: Rookie offensive tackle Marion Dukes decided to forgo training camp and a shot at making Miami's 43-man roster in order to finish his college degree at Clemson University.

Good for him. It takes a lot of perspective and maturity to come to the realization that you don't have the skill (or passion?) to make it on the pro level, and to leave that behind and take your life in another positive direction. Nothing dishonorable about finishing his degree and going into coaching. We should all wish him well.

Dang. First they make us give up a home game to play in London, and now they're only letting us have a 43 man roster? Isn't that 10 less than every other team?

J/K - obviously a typo/braino.

lol we'd REALLY be struggling then!

Now you see what happens when you get a guy from Clemson. If he were from UNC like Vonnie Holliday or Chase Page we wouldn't have quit.
