If we draft Tua a left handed bridge QB would make sense...

Any takers? LOL.

Spotrac has him sigining a new contract at over $20 mil per which I think is ridiculous but I would do 3yrs $30 mil.

The only place I take mariota is to the curb on trash day. You want to give him 10M a year for 3 years!!! Sorry but that's just horrible.

Look at the going prices for QBs.

It just kinda bothers me to have a right handed QB and a left handed QB when personnel, protections, routes and everything else might be sub-optimal when you switch from one to the other.

I don't know that it makes a big difference. I don't think most left handed qb's have left handed backups. Just whoever is the best qualified regardless of left handed or right handed. As for Mariota... I think he might be one of those qbs that look better with their second team than they did with their first. On the right team he could be adecent qb, I just don't know if Miami is the right team. I know I have a higher opinion of his odds of being a decent future qb than most fans.

Maybe we can sign tannehill? He’s obviously too 15 right now

Mariota sucks...he can't make NFL level throws and he combines that with poor pocket presence and lack of durability. Let him be some other team's Tannehill this year. They can sign him as a backup. He doesn't deserve a starting job. Unlike Tannehill, where there were numerous problems (including possibly him, nobody was really sure) with the team he was on, Mariota has been massively outplayed by a QB who has done things with that offense that it hasn't done in years.

You can see that Mariota was the problem in Tennessee. Why sign a guy who was clearly the one holding his previous team back?

Because, as we've learned on numerous occasions, it's not always the player. Sometimes the player just doesn't mesh with the coaching staff or offensive system. It's like a key and lock. Just because a key doesn't work with one lock doesn't mean it's defective. Sometimes just have to find the lock that fits the key. You know what I'm geting at, don't take it literally. I'm not saying if you have a key and lock that don't match you should just keep buying locks until you find one that fits the key.

exactly why would we bring the guy that our former QB benched?? it´s ridiculous

mariota is weak armed and a loser.

HARD PASS.

Isn't tannehill a free agent?

LOL...not laughing at the premise of Mariotta as a gap...backup

I know it's moot because of the right hand, but if you read Titans forums, they are mostly so relieved to be done with Mariota and equally as encouraged by Ryan's performance... like night and day. No matter who starts next season, just say "no" to that particular Hawaiian.
