Just wanted to know if anyone'd heard anything about where we stand with him? I know we got him in for a meeting but are we close to signing him?

I really like this guy and he could make a great situational rusher opposite Wake. A guy that can register 10 sacks, playing under 50% of the defensive snaps could seriously make the difference between our defense being good and great.

I think we have put some FA's on hold until we get our QB locked up. We will sign more FA's once the dust settles and we see where we are with cap space. We may see some cuts or re-structuring at that time.

Mark Anderson could be a very nice pick up for us if we land him. His versatility is a very nice asset as a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB. He has played for two good defensive coaches (chi & ne). He fills a need. Wont be too costly overall, although NE really wants him back so a bidding war could potentially start up.

I think he could be this years Burnett in the sense he could be a nice asset for us. Say what you want but Burnett really played well once the D started clicking.

With the Pats just signing Trevor Scott we need to get this done.

Completely agree. Burnett was by no means spectacular but rock solid. Anderson could definitely be a quality investment...and not a costly one because he's not a marquee name. If we can pick him up i really like out D for next year with the upgrade at nickel with Marshall and bringing soliai back.

The Dolphins are a "strong contender" for free agent DE/OLB Mark Anderson.

Anderon visited South Beach on Friday, where the Dolphins "made clear" they would like to sign him. However, he's expected to visit at least one other team, while the Patriots "remain a possibility. rotoworld posted 3/17, 3:22 pm

Hope they sign him too, but our FO I wouldn't count on.....but we will see

Why I is it that every statement ends with a knock on our FO?? Sign Flynn, Anderson and Winston and we have had one of the better off seasons in a long time..IMHO. And we waited on a few of them and got them at decent contracts. Did not overpay like a Buffalo did for Mario Williams. Get over it. We were never getting PM and that had nothing to do with our FO. If we have a strong draft, we will contend next year for sure. Just dont understand some fans....

Why ? because if you happen to remember the past few years you see a pattern, or atleast you should see a pattern in FO infatuation with depth players and washed up Cowboys..... very few top shelf quality players.....
Oh and scratch Winston off your list......they missed.....truthfully don't have a problem with it if true he wanted to be the highest paid RT....
