I like Bernie's story better, (the whole working for UPS one day and dressing for the fins the next) but Mark Higgs was a tough little guy to tackle. Watching Higgs is why I think it will be hard for Ronnie to ever be elite. Most really tough backs are short and give few places to grab a hold of. Ronnie is too tall and is a big target to hit. You seem to never see tacklers have a good angle at anything but the feet of shorter players. Ricky is also one of those hard to grab a hold of players. Just an opinion.
I thought Higgs was very underated why did he dissapear so fast. His legs were the size of Tree Trunks. Bernie was a try hard guy who go the most out of what he has but I thought Higgs had more talent. Thanks for starting the thread JONNYH this is the most interesting thread I have seen in months.

No kidding...for the longest time I thought that Higgs was nothing more than two massive legs with arms sticking out the sides.

But you really can't discount Stalin's epic purge of his own military and party bretheren. Hitler's Night Of The Long Knives has NOTHING on Stalin's purges. And you can't count the Holocaust, because Hitler considered those that he ordered killed there "untermenchen". I guess it's all in what you hold as a despot's role. Hitler wins in uniform, and, speech giving. Stalin wins in creulty and abject ruthlessness.

Higgs I believe had more longevity. Parmalee was pretty effective in his short stint though. Had some big games.

If someone doesn't know who they are then that helps explain how they could ever make negative comments about Ronnie.
Both were sub mediocre but I'd go with Parmalee. Special teams stud and could push the pile better. Higgs had huge legs but absolutely no leg drive.
