Just saw on NFL Network That Mark Ingram is to become a FA After the 2014 Season ,think we might Take a Look , If Not to high ,May Be Worth A Look, Thoughts ?

I would take him. He's much better than anybody we currently have.

Maybe but there are some great backs coming out of the draft!! If Todd Gurly or TJ Yeldon is available at our first pick I'd probably take them.

No reason to draft Yeldon in the 1st. He'll likely be there in the 2nd and maybe even the 3rd. If Gurley or Gordon are there in the late teens/early 20s, it'd be hard for me to pass on either, but I'd definitely be looking at a RB in the first three rounds. Great group this year. That said, I'd still like to bring in Ingram at the right price. Health is the only concern at this point for Ingram. He's playing like the back most of us thought he'd be coming out of Alabama. In an offense that wants to run the ball a lot, it's important to have multiple RB's capable of producing at a good clip.

i dont want to live in a world where tj yeldon is 3rd round talent

I think we draft a rb too. Gurley, Gordon, Yeldon, Duke- I like all these guys
We should have some big wr on our radar, Cooper(likely long gone when we pick), WV kid, and Louisville kid

yeldons got top 10 pick worthy ballerina feet he's gonna run sub 4.5 easy he's 6 ft 2 and 220 lbs and he's even showing his versatility as a pass catcher being split out at times

body lean is really the only negative...

Ingram has sucked until his contract year. He is playing for money now. The only year that matters for him is the last one before he is a FA.

Normally I say go after RB's in the draft. You can get good value there and not break the bank. It's the one position I really don't want much wear already on my player. I did want to go after Gerhardt last off season though. I think he would have complimented our backs well, and would get yards even when the line doesn't get push on bad days and in short yardage situations.
Right now I'd be tempted to grab a guy later in the draft to help take carries off of Miller next year, but we have more pressing needs. Later this year we may see more of Williams.

Ingram was drafted at the bottom of the 1st round the same year we drafted Daniel THomas at the very bottom of the 2nd. Very poor year for drafting running back in the first couple of rounds, DT based on his where he was picked in that draft class as a RB played as well or better than his classmates taken in front of him. Kinda of tells you how sad that class was at the RB position. Soo I am not excited about Ingram, and Miller and Thomas are playing well this year which is interesting. I believe we are ranked about top 5 in rushing offense this year. Considering most of the fans on this site believed Lamar Miller was at best a 2nd string running back and DT a bust thats pretty amazing.

He's running had this year but he hasn't performed up to his potential yet this year. He isn't a big upgrade from Miller.
