Although the Bills are better than most thought, they are still a team in transition much like ourselves. I think a full week working with the first team will set up Henne for a solid pro debut as a starter. The Bills are pretty susceptable to the run and so far thats something we are doing fairly well.
Our run defense has been solid so far. They will pass on us but I think in the end we will pull out a tough game at home. This is not 2007 and this is not John Beck coming in at qb.

i think we have a fair chance of winning... if we lose we really do suck as a team, because buffalo is not a good one

At least Henne can depend on the comfort of an improved running game. I liked that Sparano said that they needed to challenge the middle of the field more and hope it translates next week.

How is it that they sign TO and then hardly ever try to get him the ball? I really thought they could have an explosive offense with him there but it's really sad. Talk about lousey coaching, what a waste but I am looking forward to his blow up which is coming in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, .......

if we do that bad look for Parcells to call it a day. He doesnt like to be criticized,

Well if that happens I can't say I will be disappointed. He lost sight of the big picture when they drafted Pat White.

I don't to much care for T.O. as a person, but I'll give him credit for this. He did a phenomenal job at the press conference after the Bills' game Sunday. The reporters were being dicks and tried to bait him into saying something inflammatory about either his coaching staff or his teammates. He didn't bite. You could tell he was boiling inside, but he still maintained decorum. I thought that was pretty classless by the reporters though.

I have a bad feeling.

My feelings mean nothing though.

Honestly we will probably try to run the ball all game. It's Henne's first game starting as a pro so I don't see us opening up the offense as much as we would all like to see and as much as we should IMO.

I WANT to see a team that throws the ball 2/3 times and takes at least 15 shots down the field with a young gunner at QB.

What we probably will see is a team that runs the ball 2/3 of the time. Alot of screen passes, some wildcat plays and aroud 5 shots down the field.

I hope I'm wrong.

I hope we win.

With Pen it would have been a lock. This Henne wildcard makes things difficult, but we can and should win.

Personally I am pretty excited to see what we have in Henne. I mean did you really want to go into next year and wondering if we should draft another qb.

Dude, I love how you're cognizant of your own delusions:lol:

But, yeah, I think you're spot on. I hope we take a page out of the Steelers handbook from Ben's rookie year, they did a nice job of easing him into the NFL.

Of course, I'm excited too. He had to be thrown out there eventually. But the reality is that as things are now, Pen gave us a better chance at winning games. I hope for the best, but there might be some ugly performances from Henne ahead of us. I hope no one overreacts too badly.

Keys to the game.

Keep the pass rush away from Henne. because you know the Bills will blitz. We already know we will run the ball a lot but if they get to Henne turnovers can result.

And for our defense, get a pass rush on that below average Bills offensive line.

Personally Im not interested in instant gratification. Pennington was likely gone at the end of the year so we can now develop Henne. I think we would have been better off last year starting Henne for the long term. Yea it was great to be 11-5 last year but did it really make us a better team in the long term.
