I'm sorry, very sorry to post this.Personally I just can't route for the Marlins to be in the playoff race,Just watched espn and they spoke of them having one of greatest come backs to get to .500 (and or the playoff race since the 1800's) It's a terrible thing to wish them bad luck, but I'm all for it if they get that infield dirt out of there. My thoughts are strickly Dolphin related.:dolphins: What are your opinions?

I'm as big a Dolphins fan as you'll find, but I'm also a Marlins fan and a fan of sports in general. And if the Marlins get to the playoffs it would truley be one of the greatest Cinderella stories of all time. The dirt doesn't affect the Dolphins that much so I can live with it.

Let's put it like this, above all I'm a Dolphins & Heat fan because those are my two favorite sports, but of course I'm also a Marlins fan although I don't share the same passion as the other two teams mentioned. HOWEVER......

What the **** have the Dolphins done for us as far as achievement is concerned, since being at the stadium? Nothing. The Marlins brought us two World Series titles in 1997 and 2003. They badly need a new stadium, but until one is built, we can't just ship them elsewhere. They've made history twice in the last 9-years in our stadium. When was the last time our Dolphins put something significant together, our Super Bowl loss in 1984???

I fear Culpepper dropping back in that dirt, but come on now.....let's not blame the Marlins. They've achieved so much in recent history and this raggedy *** city/state can't even reward them with a new stadium because of the attendance. Trust me, this is a BANDWAGON CITY, the attendance will pick up if we continue to win ball games. See the "before & after" attendance percentages of Shaq & Wade with the Heat.

Hey,lay off the pipe :infins: brother. This is a Dolphin site if you forgot.

I think we can take care of Buffalo and Tennessee, dirt and all. 4 of our first six games are away. Not a big deal. GO MARLINS!!!!

Got nothing to do with getting rid of the Marlins. My priority are the fins. The infield dirt DOES hurt them in games that are meaningful in Sep. and early Oct. IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?

Okay, but your topic is titled, "Marlins Get Out"

I said that I fear Culpepper on the dirt, but the point is, it's not a fair case because you're not thinking outside of the box and putting everything together.

If you want the Marlins out that bad, then petition the city to build them a new stadium, as they truthfully deserve one. YOUR priority = the Fins, but this is Miami, Florida where OUR priority = the Fins, Heat, Marlins, Panthers, & all of the schools.

54, you're being short-sighted with wanting the Marlins to fail this year. If they lose and don't make the playoffs, sure the clay this year goes earlier in football season than if they make a miraculous World Series run, which could take the clay deep into football season. However, if the Marlins win their third world series in 9 years, there would have to be support for them getting a new stadium, which would mean no more clay in Dolphin Stadium PERIOD.

as one of the few who rock the heat gear when most people jumped off I hear you. when did we become a basketball town? Answer: when the badwagon got sexxy.

unfortunally thats what this city is about. I don't follow baseball as a sprt cause I dislike it, but I will always root for the home town to win it (save the canes, ima noles fan) I would love to see the Marlins get in Wildcard style again, and hell even win it all again, maybe it will give them a stadium that they need.

Exactly.

Hell, if the Marlins make it to the PLAYOFFS then there would be more support for a new ball park. Actually, I think that support is already there as this is a team with a $15 million payroll, and was projected by most "analysts" to lose 100+ games this year. Florida's record in the last three months is something over 50+ wins & 30-something losses, which is better than any team competing in the Wild Card hunt. The future is incredibly bright.

I don't care if the Marlins leave or not, the dirt is only there for a few of our games and the dirt isn't a good excuse for missing FGs. you got to make them it's your job. but the Marlins have to leave because our owner wants to improve the stadium and the Marlins can't be in the picture. this isn't really an issue to me. the Marlins are due to go by 2008. so we have the dirt for a few more year so what

Yo! My meaning is just for the Fins to be able to play games on grass, not on a baseball diamond! I did'nt say i wanted them to move to Montana.
