I'm sure you all have heard ROGER CLEMENS mother passed away yesterday (Wed.) and he's throin' against buckett tonight, MAN I really wouldnt wanna dig in against him tonight it's gonna be ugly and sad. He'll be throin' for her she'll be talkin to him and I may even shed a tear I was gonna smack talk through this post butt I jist' dont really feel like it now.
GOOD LUCK ROGER

It could be the reverse. He might not be into the game at all. If I were him, I wouldn't pitch tonight. I know it's a huge game and all that, but some things are more important.

Yes, I am a Marlins fan and would be thrilled if we faced Ezequiel Astacio rather than Roger Clemens, and I know some guys come out like Brett Favre and play incredibly well, but the guy's mother died THIS MORNING. I feel for him to have the obligation to play while dealing with this.

Isn't he like 0-6 in his last 6 starts or something like that? I think so.

And he's pitching against AJ Burnett, not Beckett. I don't know who Buckett is.

Remember the last time Clemens had something special to pitch for??

It was Game 6 of the 2003 World Series. Was to be his last game ever. And the Marlins led 3-1 when he left in the 8th (we subsequently won in 12 innings).

I don't think it'll matter.

My money's on Roger having a huge game tonight. His mother was his everything. He played for her!

By the way I'm glad I bought that MLB package from MLB.com where you can watch all the games on the internet. I wouldn't miss this game for the world. Now if only the NFL would put games on the internet!

My condolonsces to Clemens and I wish him the best If he indeed picthes but I will be rooting for the Marlins.

Burnett stunk again tonight. I know, he went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs, but he had 5 walks, two with the bases loaded, and 2 to Clemens (1 with the bases loaded). We gave him an early. If he holds them for a few innings, we have all the momentum. Nope. Let someone else pay $40 million for a .500 pitcher who doesn't come up big.

MUCK, sounds like sour grapes to me pal
as for that game didnt clemens leave with the lead in that one?

Hell of a performance by Andy Pettitte tonight. I'm always glad to see him do good. Hopefully he comes back to the Yankees when his contract is up after next season!

The schedule clearly favors the Astros. It looks like the NL East teams are going to beat on eachother while the stros toughest opponent is 2 games against the Cardinals who will probably be resting guys for the playoffs by the time they meet. The only way I think a team from the NL East is going to take the Wild Card is if one of them gets real hot, I mean going 12-3 or so these last 15!
