After years of frustration, the Marlins will get a new stadium for Opening Day 2011 as the city and county approve a huge deal.

A decade of legislative letdowns and taxpayer revolts for the Florida Marlins ended in weary celebration Thursday in the Miami-Dade County Commission chamber, with the club winning its long-sought new stadium in a 9-3 vote.

It's about damn time! I'll be the first one there on opening day, 2011. Now hopefully the payroll goes up and Hanley gets a nice 10 year contract. :)

Yeah that crap franchise the past 11 seasons World Series wins - 2.

Only other franchise with more World Series wins the past 11 seasons are the Yankees with 3, and they litterally buy championships. Oh and we beat them in 2003.

Florida Marlins = Dynasty. Suck it.
