Whatever happened to these guys?  Were they just contributors for us a year ago because of our lack of depth?  Will Philbin take a liking to one of them and include them into our spread offense?  I did like their individual potential but it is too bad that they didn't see the field this year and that is concerning.  What do you guys think of these two former up and comers?
 
Gates is the guy to watch for, specially with our new HC....we need that kind of speed

Well, IMO - they were a couple of "project" players that haven't rounded into the hoped for players.

Sadly, we tand to take the word "potential" and freely interchange it with the word "beast" around here. Thus expectations go through the roof.

Then when they don't set the world on fire (or even crack the gameday roster) ... they inevitably get slammed.

If neither one of them could beat out Brian Hartline, I would venture to say that they are useless.
 
Which one ****ed up the onside kick vs. Denver? I still cannot get over that game.
 
Neither are any good. They will need to bring an a number 2, with the Offense he's gonna run with 4 WRs.
