Can confirm from league sources - the Dolphins have agreed to terms with Marqueis Gray and Daniel Thomas.

At least the Dolphins aren't trying to win the offseason championship again.

Gray is a former Gopher qb who has been converted to TE in the NFL. Signing Paysinger, Gray, Thomas and Pead should tell you the team is in sign players to look at in camp mode, not sign future starter mode.

After going undrafted at the 2013 NFL Draft, Gray signed with the San Francisco 49ers. Initially Gray worked out as a halfback but soon moved to tight end. During the 2013 preseason, Gray caught one pass for 13 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs. Gray was then cut on August 30.

Cleveland Browns
On September 1, 2013, Gray was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns. He was used mostly as a blocking tight end and a fullback/H-back, and was also the emergency third string quarterback.Gray was waived by the Browns on
August 30, 2014 during the final round of roster cuts.

Minnesota Vikings
2014, Gray was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Vikings, but was waived by the team on November 19, 2014 to make room for the newly acquired Ben Tate.He caught one pass with the Vikings for 16 yards, in their loss against the Packers week 5..

Buffalo Bills
On November 20, 2014, Gray was claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills, On October 6, 2015 the Bills sent Gray to season ending injured reserve with a broken forearm. He would finish the season with just 1 catch for 2 yards.

TE? we need more of those. meh

Precisely.
If the team is indeed in "2017 comp picks" mode then we can't really sign anyone anyway.

It's like they think all these comp picks are 1sts and 2nds. They seem to value them as much.. I think the whole concept is stupid anyway...

But meh to this signing, he's a fullback/h back type, so i like it

Well, they can be traded beginning next year, but I get your point...

Miami is rebuilding the right way ... through the draft and supplementing in FA. This is why those comp picks are important and those comp picks can be used in trades so they are more valuable than previous years. We fans just are used to this kind of movement. Finally we are at least trying to do it right. Don't panic with these bargain signings. Better FA's can be signed after the draft without losing those comp picks.

You really gonna try to convince yourself this is all part of an elaborate plan?
