Marqueis Gray signs 2 year contract

He's made some nice plays 2nd half of the season. Good to see him rewarded
 
He's earned it but I'm just surprised at the timing of this and Young also. The way Gase wants everyone focus on the game "this" week you would think he doesn't want any distractions? I imagine the agents are the ones doing most of the work of course.

Wasn't he a former qb? Im waiting for the trick play where he throws the ball
 
I can't remember the last time the Dolphins started locking up players before the end of the season, seems with a new sheriff lower contracts on players we want to keep will get done before even a whiff of FA. Contracts that take time including feelings might be done in the off season from now on. Stills, Kiko, Landry etc. I do love the effort to keep/pay performers in house, finally!

So much for Barry saying team would wait to do any contracts... I know there small ones... better to get them done.
 
Great News. I was hoping the front office would be able to get him under contract next year and beyond. I'm very happy Grey decided to stick around. He's been very underrated.

I wouldn't view it as a distraction. If anything it gives them more motivation to show they belong.
