Marshall talks about the trade, continues to diss Matt Moore.

Brandon Marshall is one of the most overrated players in the NFL. I said that before we traded for him and I'm even more convinced of it having watched him for two years.

I'm calling it now. Chicago will throw him 4+ bubble screens a game (aka use him properly), and he will have a good season.
when a #1 top WRs strength is bubble screens, he is probably not a true #1plus how many times do you remember Marshall catching a slant or comeback and instead of keeping stride or turning and running he tried to pull Matrix moves and stop on a dime and balance himself on 1 hand falling backwards and actually lose yards/ miss out on YAC

He is not a typical WR. Yeah, he drops passes, and does strange things downfield like run out of bounds or tackle himself. But look how Denver used him. Bubble screens and 0-3 yard passes. If we had used him that way, he would have done very well, I think.

I'm not saying he's a great WR, or "true #1", or anything...I'm just saying that if he is utilized properly, he will have a good season.

Who cares????...he's just a thug.....focus on your wife not stabbing you in the back while you sleep, you Big Dummy.

I mean he did have 81 catches, 1,214 yards, and 6tds, (possibly could have had 8-10Ds) playing with "no real QB" as Marshall says yet....

in 2008 with his boy Cutler Marshall had 104 catches, 1,265 yards and...... 6tds

so he had 23 more catches and only 51 more yards and the same amount of TDs with Cutler, so in essense he was just as good if not better with Moore seeing that Moore connected with marshall 23 less times yet almost had the same exact amount of yards and TDs and again Marshall dropped 2-4 TDs so he would have done better in that category as well

It wasn't just the drops. He cost us at least 2 time outs during primetime games that we could've used at the end of those games. He shot his mouth off before the jet came becoming locker room fodder for no reason but his own. This guy is not and never will be a team player. The new head coach was very aware of this and showed the proper amount of respect (none). This more than anything has opened up my eyes with the type of character Coach Philbin is. I think maybe I see a light at the end of this dark dark tunnel we've been in since 94.

I read this at NFL.com and there is one huge mistake in the story. He says(or it was written wrong) that he makes $2 million when it is $12 million.

The truth is that Marshall being double teamed all the time is a myth. With his poor rote running and lack of speed he was never rarely a threat to score. While a number of the teams we played did have their best corner on him, they often did not rotate a safety over him unless it was a part of the defense.

I do not remember him ever catching a pass and outrunning the defenders to the endzone.

To me, more catches is better for his playing style. On 23 more catches, I would guess more than half of those moved the chains, which keeps your drive going. I bet his drop % was a lot lower with Cutler, too.

Remember that game where he caught 21 passes?

They lost that game.

Do you think Marshall was happy getting all those catches or sad that they lost the game?

Marshall being traded is better for us in the long run. Would I have liked to get more in trade for him? Yes. Is our WR corps less talented without him? Absolutely. Will we really feel his loss? Doubt it.

I wish he wasn't crazy and classless, but he is. Because of that I couldn't be any happier we got rid of him, when we did, before he really explodes. When he called out Moore after the pro-bowl, on national TV, I was done with him at that point.
