Tight end Tony Scheffler was informed that he will be benched this week because of his attitude, according to the Denver Post. Scheffler worked on the scout team Thursday.

Although we think it's far too early to say Marshall won't be back in Denver next season -- he's done worse after all -- Scheffler is on even thinner ice. He's not a Pro Bowler, after all.

Both players are headed for restricted free agency next season barring a new collective bargaining agreement.

I'd love Marshall but I'd also love Scheffler. It's a lot more likely that Sheffler gets released then Marshall.

Scheffler isn't much of a blocker, but is a very good receiving TE. I could see him filling the David Martin role for us.

I think he would be a great weapon for Henne......Kory Sperry hasn't looked too bad either, so maybe they feel they have a receiving tight end.

I believe MIA is going for an all around blocking TE. They have already found a gem in the ground by bring up Kory Sperry. He looks the part of the receiving TE. We have a good blocking and actually pretty good receiving TE in Haynos...so MIA merely needs another blocking/receiving TE, not just a one sided one.

Seriously? Haynos? Haynos is average, and that's being nice.

Haynos is a good endzone TE i wouldnt mind seeing him come back as a no.2 or no.3 TE

if we get scheffler over fasano i will cry with joy.

well id sure hope we get a good TE because we like to have 2 of them on the field alot

Scheff can run, and stretch the field... I would love to have him as the option guy too...,

I've been on the Scheffler wagon for awhile now and he can block he's just not a dominant blocker. We generally use two TE sets and between Sperry and Haynos we don't need another same type TE. Heck, I'd dump Haynos or Sperry and re-sign Fasano with Scheffler. He's an excellent downfield threat and would be a huge addition to our offense.

Marshall will be tagged and traded there's too many teams that would line up to trade for him to just let him go. Scheffler would just be let go, this would be a great move for Henne.

Haynos is hideously slow, and very soft for 270. I've never seen him use the 6'8 to his advantage either. Wouldn't mind seeing him replaced.
