Marshawn Lynch

The Seahawks aren't coughing up any more money for him. They have a young RB they like, they just won a superbowl, and they have a franchise qb who is going to get paid next year. I am shocked, Marshawn is already paid like a top 5 back.

edit: completely ignored the thread topic, yea, no.

There's always some dumbass thread brought up about trading for some player that's holding out or possibly on the trade block. People are ridiculous.

I'm not so sure. The increase in Jamaal Charles' pay worked really well for him and that was only a few days ago. It appears that the top end of the RB market is being flexed by tough negotiators. Carroll knows that Marshawn carried a lot of the workload last season and without Beastmode, Russell Wilson won't be so great. I think it's possible that Lynch either gets a greater guaranteed amount or maybe an extension.
What's the worst that can happen? He comes back to work with his tail between his legs, but there is a possibility that he can squeeze a bit more.

Jamal Charles has 1200 touches in his career while beast mode is at 2000. When beast modes current contract expires he will be over 2500. Can't see Seattle adding any more years. They could guarantee his money this season but that happens anyway in game 1. The real contention is that next year isn't guaranteed. They could guarantee his salary for next year without adding years and that might make him happy.

The thing with Lynch, though, is a trade could happen. Why not discuss it? Miami could use a running back like Lynch even if he only has a few years left. That said, the price would have to be right and not outrageous. On a side note, I like the backs in next years' draft especially if a few of the underclassman declare.

If I'm Seattle I don't give in and assuming Christine Michael shows he has learned pass pro which is why he didn't play last year anyways I'd promote that guy to the starter...his talent trumps lynchs...that kids a stud if they can trust him in pass pro

Lynch goes nowhere, doesn't get any New Years added to contract. But he did get some of next years pay guaranteed.

Well, he reported to camp ... So this thread is moving to general NFL.
