When you try things in the court of public opinion, it's done by giving the public information about the case, and having the public's perception force a settlement from one of the parties so as to avoid negative PR. In this case the "settlement" may be nothing more than allowing Martin to stay away while continuing to be paid.

Once he handed those over, permission was given for their release. But he knew long ago how he would leave, he just didn't quite know when.

Just a reminder here.....if cogs is so innocent, why did he get suspended in the first place? Coaches and management would not have done this if the eveidence was weak.

and shefter and co. have an itchy trigger finger.

tommorrow is another day.
 
When the media was bashing Joe and saying he didn't have a clue what was going on, Joe could of said he went and visited Martin in the hospital.

But philbin didn't do that, he didn't try to make himself look good, or expose the media for being a bunch of clueless idiots, he just said we spoke, because that would of exposed Martin going to the hospital. Classy guy, that Joe philbin.
 
miami had to suspend cog while they gathered info...it's the right pr call...hell they still may need to keep him suspended for the long haul once they get all the details...
 
The more calculated Martins side seems to be acting the more I think that Martjn was instructed not to disclose any further details to Coach Philbin.

I hope Jon Martin never plays another down for this team again! He is a complete crybaby and if he was even half of a man he would of either handled this himself or approached the coaching staff to handle it in house, rather than it costing us two starters on the O Line. With 20 plus coaches, he didnt feel comfortable enough to go to at least one of them with his concerns or complaints?? He is a little B**tch and hopefully Miami cuts ties with him as well!
