Martin Steals Samunda's Car: Why can he bully other's and not be held accountable.

I doubt you see this happening in New England
Bet you do.

There is hazing to varying degrees with every team I'm sure with coaches making rookies get them donuts and coffee in the morning to carrying a veteran team mates shoulder pads & helmet. None of it makes a team better on gameday. All these ex-players from Jeff Saturday to Warren Sapp to Cris Carter to Michael Irvin I'm sure did their part of "minor" hazing which to them was "okay".

It's all "minor" and "ok" until it's not minor and ok.

Here is where things TO ME, are interesting. Its what I've been harping on all day. A Union rep is on site in the locker room and is the first line of defense for the Union members. Its why I think there might be more on Incogs side than we might believe. These media leaks are done for a reason, and why someone on the Martin side wants to fight this in the court of public opinion. Something just doesn't sit right for me at the moment.

The NFLPA is one of the strongest Unions around. I don't see how the team rep is/was not aware of 'bullying' matters. The NFLPA saying it was monitoring things said alot to me. It means they were not 'monitoring' things before.

Depends Some reps are great and some are a waste of space and I say this as a former rep. Also if Martin went to his rep it would be confidential. The way the NFLPA does things is different then the standard union because the role of the player agent etc.

I'm not silent on Incognito at all. In a vaccume, what he did was wrong, regarding the racial slur and the threat.
Life does not exist in a vaccume, though and as more things come out about how Martin engaged in
calculated pranks/activities against other teammates as part of a group it makes me think that everyone
is over reacting to a story that will go much, much deeper.

Regardless of what Ritchie is or is not, Martin is a complete and total ***** who
has chosen to run away, rather than be a man and handle his own issues
.

That makes him a *****, and weak in my opinion. Maybe he's a man to you,
but he's a ***** to me
.

His defenders here have shown more fight.

Your post is pure truth!

Eric Allen said as much this morning. But the media (Stephen A./Baseless) both let him know he was wrong.

Who is the player rep in MIAMI?

When you go down that road you expose yourself to risk. You don't get the luxury of telling the person how they should feel when they read it. I have seen plenty of great coworkers have careers ruined for "joking" with the flight attendants.

There is no silver lining her and so often people take **** to far. Incognito has taken **** way to far.

My question to you then, if Martin was offended back in April, why did he play those pranks on other teammates since then? If he knew what it felt like to be bullied, why did he do it to other's? Because, as you say, only the person who is having the prank played on them knows how they feel and if they are being bullied. Martin should have been the one player dead against such acts an yet he played right along.

it probably does, but ESPN won't report it unless they have to. Part of their pro-Boston agenda.

remember the freak out Hernandez had after Welker wouldn't teach him how to use the replay machine? Was that a big story at the time?

Nope.

Bet you do.

Not to this extreme and that is why the Pats win with no ones on their team. There is a point where the hazing becomes destructive and obviously we are well beyond that. When I read the reports of players like Jared Odrick making a rooming pay a $30,000 meal. Seriously wtf! What has Odrick done to demand that? Besides a handful of above average games he is a disappointment as a first round pick. That's the problem with a young team you end up with Incognito on your leadership council!

I don't know man in not Martin, could be fear of fitting in ask any educator how many times kids get in trouble trying to fit in.

Sadly that to me is the biggest abuse in this situation. With the rookie salary cap, those young fellas are penny pinchers to NFL vets.

To what extreme? The Giants have won superbowls, and they have DE's physically throwing rookie
CBs into ice baths because they are thought to be soft.

Dez Bryant got a 54K bill at his rookie meal.

Everything that's gone on seems right in line to what happens on every team. Of
course, nobody in the media that are in the position to say it are going to, because
they are not going to tell on themselves, or other teammates....You know...Man code
stuff.

He's not a kid. He's older than young men we have leading fireteams
in Afganistan right this moment with the power of life and death at
their fingertips.

Martin is a huge ***** and a **** football player. Richie is loads better. **** Martin, he is such a baby, tired of hearing the martyr **** from him.

Jesus Christ, its hard to believe what I'm reading when it comes to some of these 'tough guy' posts.
