Martin To Speak Soon

He could still do that. It's all in how the questions are framed. Interaction with a person
is always going to make you come off better than a canned statement.

Well it all depends on what he has to say. We really havent heard much from him just his lawyer. Hopefully he will shed some light.

what I don't get is why incognito is singled out and then they say theres other teammates after the teammates spoke up saying theh never saw anything wrong. the only thing that may win for Martin is if he can prove this "maclious physical abuse" I don't buy that. how can he prove that unless he video taped it lol nobody in that locker room is going to testify for him even if it happened. incognito apologized, Martin needs to accept it and move on

He's in too deep for a backtrack like that IMO. That scenario would be epic and pretty much seal his fate as a football player.

I think Jonathan Martin was upset that he lost his starting position and cracked under the pressure. He had to come up with an excuse cause he was in danger of getting suspended without pay. He didn't expect it to get this out of hand and will clarify that in this taped response today. He is going to walk it back imho.

Well he lost his position but he was still a starter. I think too much has been made of this since McKinnie cannot play RT. Clabo lost his starting position.

Hard to find as easy a mark as InCognito did with Glazer since they are friends and have done MMA training together.

That's a good example. I'm sure there's no way that Katie Couric or some
other such person wouldn't be as sympathetic to Martin.

Well the difference is they dont have a prior relationship. Not one question about if philben told him to toughen up. No question on the golf incident.

I don't think he wanted to play right tackle. He was upset about it. I don't expect him to admit this. I just think he will say that he was having trouble dealing with the football atmosphere and that he was under a lot of pressure emotionaly and psychologically. That he has no problems with Incognito or his teammates.

Pierce Morgan, Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, Rachel Nichols, Stephen A. Smith, Wolf Blitzer, Keith Olbermann...the list is endless. From Yahoo to the HuffPost, Martin has his legions of sympathizers out there, who have no problem carrying his water.

Then why did he play there then walk out a week later. I mean why now

Martin was very unhappy about playing RT look up the interview with him after he was switched, it might have been more about Clabo sucking more then Martin. but Martin was on a short leash. he wasnt much better then Clabo. the hope was he would be better at an easier position which is RT

A lot of interviews held now days, go with out the tough questions being answered. From the President all the way down to the likes of Incognito.

Those are all good examples of who I'd expect would be sympathetic to Martin

That timeline makes lots more sense than some of the others
proposed during this thing.

Addressing the conflict with Martin, there's no reason to ask or answer anything
about the golf incident. That's fighting the other guy's fight. Separate issue.

As to if he was told to toughen up Martin, he's not going to throw anyone
under the bus. He wants to play again, and he knows he won't even be
out one week if he's cut.
