I read a lot of comments on this site regarding Booker, and how many people do not favor him as our #2 and favor other WRs, mostly Hagan. I can understand the argument that Booker is paid a little high for this kind of output.

However, Saban even mentioned that his Yards after the catch was very good, and when he was on.....he was on. I would like him to continue to be our #2 WR behind a good QB, and then evaluate if he is worth the paychecks. I anticipate with Chambers getting double teamed this year (if a defense has the stones to do that and leave McMike and Ronnie free) that he will get more looks. Last year his number was not called much at all and still produced. Note that one of the reasons Chambers was not double teamed was due to Booker and McMikes presence on the field. His experience is valuable and putting a rookie in his shoes does not sit well with me. Do you think he is on his way out or is up and coming for a good year.
IMHO, he has all the tools to blow up this year.

Looking forward to this year. Go Phins:dolphins:

Marty is and has always been a good and reliable reciever, I don't know who would question that..He was Chitown's #1 and now our #2...not a bad exchange for us at all.

I told him at the kickoff dinner I'd like for him to return to Hawaii, all expenses paid. He, despite a formidable ground game, thought it possible under Linehan. My only concern is Mularky doing less of the deep stuff. But with Dante, that concern is probably unfounded.

Marty Booker has hands the size of a baseball glove, btw.

Booker has been punished being unguilty.
He came to the Dolphins in exchange of Adewale Ogunleye, our best player in 2003. Nobody here will accept the way Spielman, Wanny and everybody in the office made that happened.
So Marty may be worth every cent the team pay him, but being #2 with the cool Chis Chambers on the other side have been nasty for his image.
Just think that every opponent secondary have been worried about Chambers, so Booker have an easier task and that seems to be the argument for calling someone else aboard, looking for a "better" WR to complete our offense.

i love marty he brings a lot to the table that ppl dont realize. he will show us again those chicago numbers just wait!

i am a big fan of marty booker and was really excited when we picked him up...he a physical reciver and always was good after the catch. i do not think a rookie can come in a take his spot, he is too skilled a receiver. let's not forget who we were the years he has been there. chambers would have had tremendous stats if we had a quarterback we all know that.this also must apply to our number two reciever as well, marty booker is still marty booker for a few more years but i do like competition so let hagan or anyone else try to take his spot, but with a better qb in miami booker should improve much much more along with the rest of the offense

He is a good receiver and I like him but his contract will mature to an unsustainable amount next year .

Unless he renegotiates he may become a cap victim which is why I believe that was one of the reasons Hagan was drafted.

Booker is a good #2 guy and the only reason why there are doubters is because he isn't putting up the same type of numbers here that he did with the Bears. I got news for ya....it's pretty hard for a #2 to put up #1 type numbers. And plus the fact that in our offense every guy gets the ball.

He'll restructure. He said he was willing to do so.

Perhaps that creative offensive system where 'every guy gets the ball', both Chambers and his partner (name it Booker by today) will upgrade 2005 numbers because of Harringtong-Culpepper throwing calliber.
If Booker keeps the staring role, his 2006 stats will compete with most #1 WR in this league.:dolphins:

I agree... I think he will do just fine this year. With the emergence of Chris Chambers, M. Booker will have plenty of opportunities to shine in this system.

I Always liked Booker. He reminds me of Duper on his fly patterns. I think Cpepp's gonna make him put up better numbers this year because of his arm strength.

If he doesn't send Booker to the hospital for fractured hands.

Booker is an above average #2. Not many teams have amazing number two receivers which is something you have to look at. The teams that i can think of are The Colts, Cardinals, and Cowboys that have great number two receivers. Booker is reliable, he can block, and he always seems to hang onto the ball.
