From what i remember... We still have him until 2009. Am I wrong? Do you think he can still play and be a adequate number 2 for two more years? Do you want him for two more years? Are we going to release him? I just haven't heard anything about him at all.

WR as far as right now...
  1. M. Booker
  2. T. Ginn
  3. D. Hagan
  4. ?
  5. ?
  6. ?

he is gone mainly because of money but also because there are much cheaper similar options that can improve.

I don't see how this guy is kept. When is the last time he broke a big one, when is the last time he burnt his defender and took it to the house? No clue, but I can't recall one as far back as I can think. Now when is the last time he dropped a huge 3rd down conversion? Look at every other game tape. His longest catch of the season was for 26 freaking yards!!!!! are you kidding me? Please find me another WR in the history of the NFL that started every game and their longest play was 26 yards.

Send him packing.

His production could easily be replaced by just about any FA WR out there.

I live in San Diego so its hard to see alot of Dolphin games (at least until this next year...) who do you think could replace him in FA?

I think he was wearing blue and orange and had a big "C" on his helmet the last time any of those happened

Bernard Berrian - Chicago Bears
Bryant Johnson - Arizona Cardinals
Either of these two guys can out produce for the same price.

There are quite a few free agent WRs that I am not too familar with, but I know they would be younger, cheaper versions of Booker. I'm all for Bernard or Bryant, and I will be curious to see who we draft as I'd imagine we pick up a WR somewhere along the way.

And then there is the 1% chance we bring in Chad Johnson or Roy Williams via a trade.

Here is a list of 2008 FA WRs if you'd like to take a look at what will be available: http://www.footballsfuture.com/2008/nfl/freeagentsWR.html

I remember the day I heard of the trade, and that we gave up Ogungley. I thought about driving off the first bridge I saw.

I know that we can improve the position...and he's on his way out, but why do people have to trash the guy like he was a bum.

only twice in the last 20 years did a Dolphin WR catch more than 30 passes and avg more than 17.5 yards. Chambers in '01 and Booker in '05. He led our team in YPC in 05 and 06. We haven't been **** of a passing team for the past few years....but Marty gave as many big plays as anybody else.

hes definitely gone. too slow and scheduled to make way too much money. i wouldnt mind seeing berrian in a dolphins uni. hes young, fast, has good hands, and doesnt piss (i think i am allowed to say piss on here, right?) and moan - he lets his play do the talking. could see him as a possible #1 receiver.

Berrian sounds like a good fit with Ginn and Hagan we could have the top two speed receivers in the league.
