What he has managed to do with this roster is near miraculous to be honest. But I think he will always need a great defensive mind to take care of the defensive side of the ball like Vance Joseph.

I'm worried Vance might be poached pretty quickly.

Oh god No! The guy is trash at everything. Look at the Bills defense. He took over one of the best units 2 years ago and turned them into a joke.

If Tannenbaum ever allows Rex Ryan to coach here, then every Dolphin fan must head to Davie with pitchforks and demand he gets fired immediately.

I feel like the next in line is Matt Burke. Worked with Vance in Cincy and is a younger guy. I'd basically guarantee Vance is here next season since there aren't going to be a lot of new openings. We could even get two years out of him, but it'd be nice if Burke's experience working within the same system allows him to elevate to the role.

Before everyone gets too carried away with the compliment, remember that Gil Brandt is now 83 years old and a few years ago, advocated strongly that Johnny Manziel should be the top player drafted in the Draft because he had special leadership qualities. He also defended Johnny's high character because he knew him and the family in Texas. The point I'm making is that it's a nice compliment from a former great administrator, but old Gil isn't always right.

I doubt VJ gets snatched uo as a HC anytime soon. He's good and done great with limited talent in some areas on defense but our d is no where near a top performance defense to the point where he's going to be ranted and raved about. Most teams chcoose offensive coordinator as head coaches. Think theres only like 5 former Dc's coaching.
