Marvez: The Dolphins have no talent

Just remember this interview when we get at least 1 win this season and we can petition FoxSports to fire this bum!

Again, not sure why people pay attention to these guys. They clearly have an agenda and rely on people reading their garbage in order to be outraged. This is only keeping them in a job.

Exactly. This is a REALLY slow time and this kind of inflammatory rhetoric is what talentless twits like this rely on. PLEASE ignore them. Thank God only a few more weeks until training camp and we can speculate on something closer to meaningful information!

Marvez summary:

* Dolphins have no talent
* Garrard is a bum
* The fact that Moore is toe to toe with Garrard shows he isn't very good
* Chad Johnson will have no positive impact
* The offensive line is in shambles
* The defense will probably struggle under a new DC in Coyle
* Fast paced offense will lead to 45 second three and outs and put pressure on the defense
* Thinks the Dolphins are the 31st team in the league.
* Bill Parcells is not a fault for any of the current problems
* Thinks Jeff Ireland botched the Flynn negotiations on purpose
* Discussed whether Miami should take Barkley with the 1st or 2nd overall pick

:rolleyes:

This might be my biggest fear. First down is very critical. Third and long could be disastrous to our WC style offense.
Might also create unnecessary penalties for itself with all the movement and urgency.

Not to mention the risk for turnovers.

Look we lost Bell, Marshall, Will Allen and Langford but other than that it is the same team as last year minus Carey and Columbo. Granted those 4 guys contributed a lot to the team but hopefully we have added talent on the right side of the Oline and at QB campared to where we started last year. The rest of the team is the same. I would say if we have a better answer at QB this year that outwieghs the loss of Marshall, Bell and Langford. We may very well have the answer on the team as far as Langford and Bell are concerned with rookies such as Vernon at DE and Jones at Safty or some other players. Marshall loss is a big hole as far as talent but hopefully the loss of some of his demeanor with his team will offset part of that loss. Getting the right side of the offensive line fixed would be a huge plus. I also believe after the draft we are better or deeper at RB, TE, OL, LB, QB than we were last year at this time. IMO the CB DL, P, K positions are a wash compared to last year. CB, S are concern until proven other wise with the loss of Allen and Bell and WR we moved backward but not as much as many think.

My bigger area of concern would be can our new coaches coach and how long will it take to install the new OL and DL schemes. That is the question mark on this team much more than the talent.

Langford was a very good 3-4 defensive end, but wasn't a huge loss going to the 4-3. Odrick was a part time starter/roll player and still got 6 sacks last year. Going from Langford to Odrick in the starting lineup in the new defense is actually an upgrade in my opinion. Also, adding Vernon to the line was a good addition and the defensive line might actually be stronger than in 2011.

We lost Bell's veteran presence, but his play has been declining the last couple of years. I have hope that Jones can finally take the next step and so far the results have been promising in the offseason program.

Will Allen is gone, but Richard Marshall was signed. Upgrade.

Colombo is gone and Martin likely will be the starter. If not him, Murtha might get the job. Upgrade.

Vernon Carey is gone and right now the options to replace him are underwhelming. Jerry continues to struggle with his weight and we might end up seeing Hicks as the starter. Maybe a slight upgrade, but this is still a question mark.

Brandon Marshall is definitely the biggest loss from a production standpoint. There is no single player on this roster that will replace his production. Just not going to happen. Doesn't mean the passing game is gong to take a big step back because they will be spreading the ball around to a lot of players. The Dolphins won the division title in 2008 with a worse group of receivers.

No matter who wins the QB job, Garrard or Moore, overall the quarterback play should be better than last season.

The schedule is much softer than the 2011 schedule, slightly better overall talent(with the exception of losing Marshall) and what people assume is a better coaching staff. It isn't being a "homer" or anything like that, around 8 wins should be the expectation.

How can anyone say "any" NFL team has NO TALENT? That's absolutely ridiculous...

You can say that for most of the media then.

No, there are several writers and broadcasters that are able to report what's actually happening and sell. Jackson and Volin come to mind. Not hard to see the difference between styles. Marvez, etc. are just the exact opposite of miamidolphins.com. Note that I don't mean writers that only write nice, fluffy garbage about the team. They're just as bad.

Speaking of declining media coverage of the NFL, who else is doesn't like the fact that NFL.com has a bunch of opinion bloggers on their site? In my opinion it would be better for them to keep it professional and report the news instead of PFT like articles on their site.

Count how many times Marvez says, "Do you know what I am saying?" That is all I hear from him and his jab of "great parking at Sun Life Stadium this week".

****ing loser.

typically the only response the media gets out of me is, "Lol".. In all seriousness, us Finfans are far more qualified to comment on this team than ANY other media reporter outside the Miami beat writers. We are far more qualified to comment on Miami than Marves is.
