i don't know if this has been brought up or not but here goes...marvin harrison is still a free agent...he is still a number1 receiver and that's exactly what we need...and he would provide even more veteran leadership on this team which can always help...especially with our young receivers

We don't need Marvin Harrison and he certainly isn't a number 1.
Why all the talk about "we have to have a number 1"?
I think that concept is over rated. We have a talented group of receivers who compliment each other well and are busy competing.
Harrison is done man!
He's not a #1, and im not so sure he would be a #2 on this team.. Probably more of a role player than an every down WR.. Kinda like Carter when he was here

Would he Replace Ginn or Bess?
if he cant Replace either.. than he needs to do some special teams work, I doubt marvin would be up for that.

no need to slow the development of our wr's at this point. we are fine at wr. last year all three had over 50 catches. all three should be even better this year. ginn going into his third year,bess going into second, and cam going into second year as a full time player. no reason to believe they wont be better.

Besides, he has legal troubles of his own, and I don't think that Tony and Bill would want that distraction in the locker room.

Antonio Freeman was still on the market during training camp in 2004. The Dolphins signed him, but guess what? While once a star in this league, he cut before the start of the season. Harrison is done.

I have been as hard on Ginn as anyone but he looks very good and looks to develope into the so called number 1, which is overrated. However, because he is learning to get seperation he will demand a double team soon,
