On another note, Olindo Mare missed another 52 yarder.
Matt Bryant, who was on our team just a couple years ago, is now on the Buccaneers and kicked a successful 62 yard field goal, only one yard shy of the longest successful field goal in american football history...

No, but he used to be automtic even from 50 yards. This is a point of his 1.5+ million salary being way too much for him now

When was the last time Mare hit a tough kick when it mattered??

Bryant's kick was down the middle, and long enough to break the record.....in the humid Tampa air. Game-winner as time expired.

Mare isn't the reason we lose games. But at $2.5 million a season, we're not getting enough return on our investment. Mare's career-long is 54. And that came in the 90s. Today, Green Bay's kicker hit a 55-yarder.

Every week, "lesser" kickers nail 50+ yard kicks to win games. We don't get that anymore.

Neither Huard or Bryant have ever been anything special. Just because they had a couple of big moments doesn't mean they're the answer to anyone's problems.
